home. >> i saw them arrest one guy. the girl was still in the house and then they had the dogs out looking for -- they brought two dogs in and went searching. >> reporter: neighbors say the trailer is a magnet for traffic day and night. on wednesday someone called police reporting three men had kicked in the door in an apparent home invasion. >> deputies responded to the home, and when they got there, they heard someone screaming from inside. they forced entry into the home and found three suspects in the home. >> reporter: deputies araised 23-year-old william joseph fleming on an outstanding warrant and a second suspect may face drug charges. but it's the one that got away it put the deputy in jeopardy. >> the third went through a plate glass window. the deputy tried to stop the individual and received a severe

cut to his arm. >> i saw him in the ambulance,ed i heard he was going to bayview and i said a prayer for him. >> reporter: the deputy was released from the hospital this morning. we're told he will have additional surgery to repair tendons in his injured arm on friday. police in aberdeen said they used a taster on a -- taser on a man before they could arrest him at a girl's basketball game. police said 30-year-old teoine carroll was trying to exit through a door at the high school which had been closed off and resisted officer's attempts to control him. >> the officer went to arrest the individual, trying to get him to comply.

he failed to comply. the officer used the taser. >> carroll has been released. he works at the school but was there as a parent. governor martin o'malley signed the bill to legalize same-sex marriage in maryland. the bill was close to passing last year but it was shelved in the house of delegates when lawmakers realized they were a few votes shy. it took up most of the first 4345 days of the legislative session. right now as you can see, the ceremony is women underway. a baltimore man has been convicted of killing a 15-year-old. donte paris killed him by splashes him with a raise are. mathison was stuffed into his

fired the shots. juvenile records showed t.j. lane pleaded guilty to disorder conduct where he was accused of choking another boy. police are trying to pin down the motive. the families of four of lane's victims met with reporters. the three were killed at chardon. one was shot four times and is expected to recover. the family is trying to forgive the boy who changed their lives foreever. >> it's a guilt for me because their sons and my son was saved. >> he also faces two counts of

attempted aggravated murder. in wisconsin a student is arrested after creating a list of names of students he wanted to shoot. the student is 16. police say students and teachers are not in any danger. an investigation is currently underway. the latest on severe weather. harrisburg, illinois was the worst hit. as people sift through the damage there are incredible stories of survival. one couple woke up not because of the high wind but because of their dog. he was shake uncontrollably. >> three people died in those same storms in tennessee. smeghtville a per was tossed in

the battle over insurance coverage for birth control took another turn when the senate rejected legislation that would allow insurers to reject coverage. >> reporter: today the senate rejected it. >> the motion to table is agreed to. >> reporter: it would allow employers to refuse coverage of

birth control because of religious beliefs. >> if you're of a faith that believes something is absolutely wrong, as an employer, why would you want to pay for that. >> reporter: democrats said republicans were infringing on women's healthcare rights. >> every step of the way it seems as if there's an assault on women's reproductive choice. >> reporter: the vote put a controversial issue back at center stage and it put several senators on the hot seat. three democrats sided with the republicans. only one republican voted with the democrats. lamps month the white house faced a major backlash from religious organizations over the mandate. under pressure the administration announced a revamped policy. it will be the insurance companies who will reach out to women employees and provide that coverage free of charge. that still wasn't enough for some religious leaders.
