have been charged in connection with the death of 13-year-old monae turnage her body found northeast baltimore more. the two juveniles, ages 13 and 12 were charged with involuntary manslaughter. the two were playing with a gun inside a home on sometime saturday evening. while they were playing with that weapon, a .22 caliber long rifle, a gun went off and struck turnage in the chest and she died. police believe the two juveniles moved it behind the home and buried it. here's what they had to say at a news conference a couple moments ago. >> they were playing. they ended up playing with a gun. the gun was in the home.

it's unclear whose gun it was, why it was in the home and why it was unsecured it. discharged and struck monae in the chest. >> reporter: and wound up killing her. after that police believe the boys moved the body outside. the investigation is still going on. they have been charged wls invoy manslaughter. more charges could be coming pending the outcome of the investigation. also, there could be more charged related to that weapon. was the weapon secured. was the weapon belonging to someone. was it legally owned. those are the types of things police are investigates. at this hour the breaking news is two juveniles have been charged in the death of

13-year-old monae turnage. now monae's body was discovered yesterday by family members when she didn't come home from roast -- roller skating. brian kuebler has more. >> reporter: it's a story of unimaginable grief as the family copes with the death of a bright and promising 13-year-old. she loved to dance, la crosse, was an excellent student and dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. monae turnage had possibilities many. she was dumped in an alley, her body discovered beneath trash bags. >> i was screaming. i was sick. i couldn't think. >> reporter: her mother, edith

turnage said it was her son who found monae. it would be her brother, monae's urchg thal saw her -- uncle that saw her face. >> it was horrible seeing her knowing she was dead. all i could do is look. >> reporter: and afterall, monae went roller skating and should have been home, been in school, preparing to graduate high school and college and who news. she was smart and her mother said she was going to do something big and not end up lifeless in an alley. >> i couldn't explain to you,

really. it's so devastating. >> reporter: do you think any parent can explain something like that? >> no, actually no. >> baltimore police said monae was shot in the chest when she and two friends were playing with a gun. a 12 and 13-year-old were charged. brian kuebler. a terrifying ride to school for students in kent county after a 12-year-old bring as flare on to the bus. the bus was heading to kent county middle school when the flare went off causing a fire and the evacuation of 28 students. as don harrison explains, the quick action of a lot of bus drivers save lad lot of lives. >> reporter: catastrophic.

that's how firefighters described the scene, a fire that consumed the bus from end to end. hours after the workers are cleaning up -- >> the area appears to be toward the middle of the bus. >> reporter: what is usually a mundane trip -- >> anytime people are trapped in a smoky area, you lose your bearing. >> reporter: with 28 people onboard the school bus driver did a heroic action getting everybody out. pam ward was behind what's left of the wheel this morning. she's being credited with saving many lives. >> 28 kids. they held it together and she was able to get them off the bus and prevent this thing from being worse than it was. >> they had to go flew smoke to

get out. even in they used this exit, which is a good thing they didn't. >> one of the considerations of not using the exit because the kids would be jumping out in the road. i think she decided not to because she didn't want the kids jumping out in the road. >> reporter: i talked to pam on the phone. she said she was just glad all her kids got out safe. >> could it have been a pretty ugly situation? we are fortunate to have great people in kent county that worked well under pressure. what a great job by a great person. >> reporter: in kent county, don harrison. >> thank you so much. seven students were treated and released at area hospitals. this may be march, but this afternoon we caught a glimpse of some of that fluffy white stuff that we haven't seen much of this winter.

3-year-old harmony. she was left behind at a chuck e. cheese last night and you helped reunite the girl with the family. jeff hager has more. >> reporter: investigators say a large party of children and miscommunication between the adults caused the scare which left the 3-year-old on her own. the girl, who we only know as harmony, approached the girl at the chuck e. cheese, crying and saying she was thirsty. almost three hours later the parents retrieved her. turns out even of the adults thought the other was taking harmony home. >> evidently, the little girl had an extra token and ran back into the building to use her extra token, and everyone had left, thinking that someone else

a 3-year-old girl is recovering after following magnets. we have more on her ordeal and what parents can learn from it. >> reporter: her parents say she wasn't feeling well, thought she had a stomach ache, maybe the flu. when she didn't seem to be getting better they took her to a doctor. after a quick x-ray the doctor thought it could have been a bracelet. it turned out to be 37 high powered magnets. the doctor said the magnets had already snapped her intestines together and ripped a hole in her stomach. surgeons were able to remove

still some snow showers f you look further south. that last cluster of snow has pushed out. you can see halas cluster pushing off of the lower part of the eastern shore. some slight accumulations in lower del mar va the center of the storm put significant snow across central western virginia. still watching a few snow showers streaming in out of the north and northwest. as we look at the overall pattern, yes, this storm system will continue to spiral offshore. we'll continue to see the snow showers diminish to a few flurries and eventually drying out completely as we work into the day tomorrow. check out the overall picture. low pressure continuing to spiral south and east of our ocean city coastline and still strong enough, still close enough to wrap in some of those lake-effect snow streamers. some of the moisture being tapped from lake erie. take a look at president trend. the storm continues to move

in tonight's health alert, many parents think snoring means your baby's in deep sleep but a new study finds children who snore ho or who have -- snore or who have other sleep problems are likely to have behavior problems later. researchers found babies with sleep problems at six months may be more likely to have behavior problems like hyperactivity by the time they're seven. parents should discuss it with their pediatrician. the more movies teens watch with people drinking alcohol, the more likely they are to binge drink. the students in the six european countries were asked how often they drink five or more drinks.
