boy in custody with the death of monae turnage. she they have both been charged with involuntary manslaughter. the family still cannot believe that she is gone. it was monae's brother who found her body in the alley. the family went searching for the teen when she didn't come home on is the day night. brian kuebler sat down with the family. >> i couldn't explain to you, really. it's so devastating to see something, her laying there. >> you think any parent can explain it? >> no actually, no. >> her mother said monae was

bright. police say monae was accidentally shot to death when the gun that two teens were playing with went off. a 3-year-old girl made her way home finally from a chuck e. cheese. jeff hager has more on how this little girl named harmon nip ended up in the shopping -- harmon harmony ended up in the shopping center. >> reporter: 3-year-old harmony found herself left behind at this chuck e. cheese in bel air and sought out an employee for help. the manager called police. >> they remembered the large party coming in four adults, multiple children. unfortunately, they had paid in cash and they had not made a

reservation prior to coming, so there was no clue on who the family was. >> reporter: deputies arrived and waited for more than an hour to see if somebody would come back. after harmony's picture appeared on the knew, several calls came from the family who ultimately reunited with their daughter. it appears the adults, each thought the other had harmony in their care. >> evidently, the little girl had a little token and ran back in the building to use her extra token and everyone had left thinking that someone else had her. >> reporter: a corporate spokesperson said the chuck e. cheese employees reacted just as they're trained to do. tonight the police and harmony's family are praising them for keeping her safe. >> we should say the child protective services had already

come to harmony's aid but released her once they confirmed her identity. new tonight three people were killed on bel air. the crash included one vehicle. a man inside that car was declared dead right here at the scene. one other person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the cause of this crash is still under investigation. all right. you are now looking live at the beltway at pulaski highway and the commute home has been home. the day has been cool and dreary. early today did you see it? snow flying around. we got a glimpse of perry hall. but will this be the last time we seat white stuff fall. meteorologist wyatt everhart gins us with his first forecast. >> a few snowflakes flying but less -- less in the way of snow showers. we had some pretty robust snow

showers. another one just offshore of the bowly's quarters there. for the most part things are looking clear for the moment. you see the snow showers diminishing. the atmosphere stablizes. temperatures still above freezing. anything that has falling, maybe creating damp areas. still 40s, still snow showers but little to no accumulation. these are diminishing rapidly. we'll talk more about how things change so dramatically by thursday. here's the latest out of anne arundel where a man suffered severe injuries from a house fire in brooklyn. firefighters arrested a man this afternoon. the fire was in a secondary home behind ritchie highway. the man was taken to bay view with serious injuries. we have two firefighters

hurt battling an overnight fire in around no.d the ceiling gave way, collapsing on top of them on kings college drive. it happened about 1:00 this morning. one of the firefighters suffered burns on his faissmeód" the family of four was able to get out thanks to smoke detectors. a bus full of middle school students caught fire. a student had a flare on the bus. it happened in chestertown just before 9:00 a12-year-old student brought a flare on the bus and lit it up. the bus had 28 students on board at the time. all made it off safely. seven students were treated and released. quick action from the school bus driver, pam ward, credited with saving many lives. >> certainly engulfed in flames. it was a dangerous situation that was alleviated by a bus

driver. >> her name, pam ward. here's a developing story. the county executive john leopold and the current police chief -- they want them to step down. the integrity of the entire department is being questioned because ofs it leaders. >> reporter: the fraternal order of police said this vote was in order long before leopold's indict m atkinson said there are other issues. officers can't get lee. they're being held for hours at the end of their shift to make up for staffing shortages. regards to leopold's indictment, officers complained but were told to go along even though some of the activities were well

person of interest. the person has been visiting several goodwill stores. if you have information you're asked to call anne arundel police at 410-222-8610. a federal judge has ruled the handgun law is unconstitutional. he riled that a requirement that residents show a good and substantial reason to carry a handgun infringes on the second amendment right to bear arms. he said in his opinion that the law isn't sufficiently tailored to the public safety's interest. well, today another grand opening for decades. the second gino's opened today in perry hall. this one sits right on honeygo, right in the area. gino's fries, chicken and shakes are being owrd.

two commemorative coins are unveiled. there's a silver coin and a gold coin designed to fund programs. and it commemorates the battle at. they will sell 100,000 of the gold coins which depicts the nave val battle of 1812. silver coins will be sold with the battle of baltimore on one side and lady liberty right there on the other side. they say lightning can't strike twice but coming up scammers can. if you've been hit once, don't drop your dukes because you're a target for a second strike. since he's retired, cal has a lot of time, writing books. his second book is on sale. we'll tell you where you can get a copy and meet the writer.

by the weekend. right now we want to talk about your scam alert. listen, if you've ever been hit by a scam, you know it can hit you personally and financially. because you fell for one scheme, you're likely to be targeted again. abc2's joce sterman tells us why. >> reporter: the phone line is one of the easiest ways to hit you with a scam and if you've lost cash, odds are scammers will ring your line again, hoping to double their money. the federal trade commission calls these people reloaders. they dial back into people they've hit before and they have a few common tactics. some claim to work for government agencies, consumer groups or private companies that can help you recover what you've lost for a fee. but the feds say it's double trouble because the second scheme can being as costly as the first. reloaders might use prizes to

one or two of the rapid moving snow showers today. radar trying to find any new showers developing and we're finding less and less. the atmosphere is getting more stable as we go past sunset. kent county, centerville, so a few flakes could still fly, especially on the other side of the chess is a -- chesapeake. this cold air continuing to wrap into that storm as it moves off store. we're down to 35 in hagerstown, 39 in easton. that won't last long. winds 23 in hagerstown. these continue to gust over 25 miles an hour in spots. so a definite wind chill factor, a winter like feeling in the hair through the overnight. that's what makes this so remarkable. it will feel like summertime
