that earlier collision. beltway traveling near the bw parkway traveling northbound on the bw parkway you may tap the brakes making the drive through laurel heading up to 695. and also for those of you making the drive around 6 the 5 -- 695 on the west side that's where you will see the most delays and i-95 north of maryland 100 also your northbound lanes where you will see the most activity traveling from columbia up through arbutus past 695 heading to the tunnels. back over to you. new this morning, calvert county sheriff deputies are looking into the death of a newborn after police found it in the trunk of a car in prince frederick. deputies say the family members of the owner of the car were cleaning the inside of the car and that is when they found it. this happened just after 6:30 last night. that's where they found the baby's body. cause of the death is still under investigation. we will keep you posted of course. >> it's 14 minutes before the hour. and a large ring -- gun ring has been busted in baltimore city. where police have been working

with homeland security to bring down the bust and this morning linda so is here with how policewere first tipped off and what led to the big score. >> reporter: they were able to object taint search and seizure warrants with -- obtain the search and seizure warrants with wiretap jail conversation. police arrested a person with a handgun and that investigation is what led to this major bust. police confiscated 16 firearms handguns and semiautomatic well weapons and found $8,000 in cash and ammunition and two bulletproof vest and raw heroin. police searched three homes in the city, one home in baltimore county and one storage unit in the city. three suspects have been arrested. >> with the arrest, they got a major weapons deal off the street -- dealer off the street bottom line. they took somebody who was providing other people with weapons off the streets and now he is going to fake a substantial amount of time in federal prison. >> reporter: those three

suspects face federal charges. linda so, abc2 news. maryland officials right now are asking a federal judge to keep the state gun permit law in place while they appeal his ruling that it was unconstitutional. motion was filed after a judge ruled the maryland requirement that residents show what's called good and substantial reason to carry a handgun is unconstitutional. the state is also asking him to clarify if he plans to issue an injunction barring the state from denying permits based on the requirements. services for a teen shot to death in northeast baltimore will begin tonight. a viewing for 13-year-old monet turnage will be helt held on chester street. the funeral is tomorrow at 11 at the same church. police say two boys were playing with a rifle when the 13-year-old was shot. after the shooting, police say they hid her body behind a house and buried it under neath a garbage bags. they are currently charged with

involuntary manslaughter. for the second time, the robbery of a royal farms storeinvolves gunfire and authorities say that they believe the same man is responsible for both crimes on harford road and west 41st street in hampden. sherrie johnson is live in hampden with the information. >> reporter: well, i have placed calls into richard wolf with the fbi trying to learn more about this case. according to published reports, the fbi is involved because of the violent nature of the crime. now also they said they want to get the person off the streets. look behind me here. you can see we are right in front of the royal farms on 41st street in hampden. robber shot one victim at point blank range and in the latest incident, he fired a warning shot. this morning, the fbi -- fbi is pug spulg out all the stops to -- pulling out all the stops to catch him. this royal farms store on 41st street is the second store hit
