the study is found kids under 5 were hurt while carried on the stairs by a parent. doctors at the center for injury research teamed up with childrens hospital and found a million children younger than five were treated in the er from 1999 to 2008 for stair related injury. 25% of those kids who were hurt were less than a year old and hurt when the parent was carrying them down the stairs. doctors say you should put up babe gates at the top of bottom, use rails and make sure the stairs are clutter free and be mindful when you are carrying your baby around the house. >> when a child falls with their parent, they are falling from a higher height than if they were standing on the stairs and at a risk of the parent falling on top of them. >> the study can be found in the journal of pediatrics. recall to tell you about,
