of the life of major robert marchant. he was killed in february. he was also a teacher at carney elementary school. before today's funeral service his son and daughter talked about how the community has been sharing in their grief. >> there's been people reaching out to us, not only had we never met but our father never met. to hear he touched their lives is incredible. >> he will be buried with full honors tomorrow. staff sergeant robert bales met with his attorney at fort leavenworth. john browne is representing him. browne said he spent more than three hours this morning and described their meeting as

emotional. bales has yet to be charged but he is already being integrated into the normal pretrial confinement routine. a location has not been determined for the trial but it is possible afghan witnesses could be flown in to participate if this case goss court. >> i can't imagine a more difficult case. the case of political ramifications. it has legal ramifications, social ramifications. you can't imagine a bigger case. >> aside from his meeting with an attorney, bales is being kept in pretrial confinement, in an area with about a dozen other service members including pfc bradley manning who's charged in the wikileaks case. investigators say the same gun used to exile four people at a jewish school today was also used to kill three paratroopers

last week. a gunman killed three children and a rabbi, fired 15 rounds from the gun. the same gun was used in two attacks last week. it's unclear why a gunman opened fire at the school. in ohio a judge refused to release court documents that may relate to abuse, t.j. lane. the judge said the release of those records could sway a jury pool if he is tried as an adult. a hearing is set for next month. it's known as k2, spice and blaze, dies of synthetic marijuana that's becoming more common. more are showing up in the er with doctors not knowing a will the about these substances.
