killing of 17-year-old tray von martin. the justice department will dispatch officials to florida to investigate and address tension in the community. neighborhood watch volunteer, while walking to his father's fiance's house. the teen's parents say they believe race was a factor in their son's death. family members say the police have shown disregard for justice. protesters gathered at the courthouse to demand justice. 911 calls were released. hear someone yelling for help, a voice analysis will be conducted to see who was yelling for help. the operator told zimmerman not to follow tray vop. neighbors called 911. when police arrived trayvon was dead. he was carrying a bag of skittles and ice tea he bought from a convenient store.

people are recovering after pulled from the ocean while off of the shores of california. one of these people, a good samaritan, was trying to help. a sheriff's chopper pulled a father and son and a man who tried to help them from the waters. the boy followed his friend in to the water and struggled to get out. the father and good samaritan jumped in. the problem with this beach is that visitors can underestimate the strength of the water. >> what typically happens, if folks go out there, even if they are intending to stay knee deep or waist deep, it's steep, if they lose footing, they start floating and get carried out. >> the victim suffered from hypothermia but should be okay. celebrating the ends of the season in pennsylvania with a little friendly competition. it's the pond skimming contest at blue mountain ski resort. they tried hands at racing down a mountain and making it over a

good morning maryland. >> the baltimore county school board wants to build a school on the site of what is mays chapel park off of padonia road in the timonium area. a lot of people are against the idea. sherrie johnson is here to tell us why. >> tonight the school board will vote on this proposal. it's no secret overcrowded schools have been an issue. the board came up with a blan to relieve the overcrowding by building a school at mays chapel park. more than 200 people showed up at a public hearing last night to voice concern. many of them against the proposal. the playing fields and walking trails although mays chapel park are used by people who live close by and elementary school would take half of the site. some worry that's too much. the school system does own the land. administrators say they have

planned to put a school here, parents whose children attend 7 overcrowded schools agree with the proposal. the board will vote tonight on this issue. back to you. how often do you text? chances are your teens can outtext you, no doubt about it. not surprising. the number from a study shows that 63% of teenagers text at least once a day. the average teenager will send out at least 60 texts a day. research shows that older teenage girls send and received 100 text messages everyday.
