hunger games excitement and now over to meteorologist lynette charles to see how the weather is looking. >> good morning. yes, here we go again. dealing with patchy fog across the area. we have some dense advisories out there again for today. and we are dealing with mild and humid air. as we look at what's going on in terms of the radar, while maryland's most powerful radar is dry and we should be staying that way going through the remainder of the day. but we have change in the forecast for you. as we look at the visibility once again it's reduced. basically every where this morning. so if you are traveling up to york to frederick zero mile visibility. 7 along the eastern shore. 3 in baltimore and once again these will go downhill before going up. we will talk about temperatures in the next storm system moving in. let's check the traffic with angela good morning. it looks like we will do the fogonce again. >> reporter: good friday morning and good morning to everyone. the fog is the big story. we have an incident up in harford county. police are on the scene alternating traffic. we have a gas leak on philadelphia road between joppa

rally was supposed to be held at a church but was moved to accommodate the bigger crowd. trayvon was shot and killed last month near his father's fiancee's house. george zimmerman the neighborhood watch leader said he did it in self-defense. but there's anger over how police handled the case. they never interviewed key witness like trayvon's girlfriend who was on the phone with him as the incident happened and never gave zimmerman a toxicology test. the town's police chief said whoa temporarily step down. >> i do this in the hopes restorm some semblance of calm to the city which has been in turmoil for several weeks. >> reporter: we have learned the local prosecutor has convenienceed -- conveniented a -- convened a grand injury to determine whether to charge zimmerman. former penn state assistant football coach jerry sandusky is trying to get the charges against him thrown out.

a trial motion ended with sandusky arguing that some of the child sex abuse charges against him are not specific enough. that evidence is lacking and the statute of limitation has run out. he also sought to delay the start of the may 14th trial. the prosecution will respond in writing within the week and april 5th court date is set to hash out the remaining disputes in the case. criminal charges against staff sergeant robert bales are now expected todaych the number of victims has -- today. the number of victims has risen from 16 to 17. his lawyer said he will be charged with murder and a slew of other charges. authorities have not elaborated on why the death toll has riseen. an american known for -- risen. a american known for fighting in libya is considering going to libya. he he fought with rebels in libya and was there before he was released. vandyke said he would consider going to syria has been following the situation of the

now "good morning maryland" at 4:30. across much of the country, windows are opened and air conditioners might be on in some homes. seems we have skipped spring and felt like we went into summer. some farmers feel the cold weather could come back and kill off the crops while others right now are taking a gamble and planting more. the weather has been good to cows in the midwest. in 23 states that produce the most milk each cow is averaging 9 gallons more than 25 glasses a milk per cow. that's a positive but with the early taste of warm weather comes shopping and we are talking from flowers to fertilizers and grills and items going earlier than usual. meaning, more jobs according to

talking to moviegoers in white marsh. how is it looking out there. >> reporter: pretty quiet buch like you said a couple minutes ago, lines were out the door for the midnight showing. you talked about the ticket sales. fan dango was reporting they were selling at 10 per second for the preshows for the midnight movie. we have 50 people down the hall here. they are watching the 3:15 show. it will let out around 5:45 and we will hear from some of the moviegoers for some reviews of what they thought. like you said, this is a phenomenon. the hunger games trilogy is following in the pattern of twilight and harry potter. books made for the teens the younger adults and a lot of people older adults are into the books. projected sales for the weekend is around 135 million dollars. that's right on par once again with harry potter and the twilight series. harry potter is the record opening weekend ever, 165 million dollars. but right now, they are in there for the 3:15 showing and going to be out in about an hour and we will hear from this

here's how it works. they act as middlemen buying drugs from the manufacturer but selling to a whole sale company they own. often at the same address. mashing up the price a second time before offering to desperate hospitals. investigators say fakes sold to 15 dollar vile of cancer fighting drug to hospitals for $350. congress sent 19 letters to supposed pharmacies across the country this week and is working with state authorities to pull their licenses. north carolina closed this one never opened to customers the shelves have few drugs. specializing only in those in short supply. >> we are paying a ridiculous price for many of the drugs. sometimes marked up 100, 200, 300%. >> reporter: creating a shortage and high cost that interrupt and threaten cancer treatments for patients like tyler.

4:51. we know how whitney houston died. the coroner's office says the 48-year-old die from -- died from a drowning but heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factor. she was found at bathtub in a hilton hotel on february 11th. her family says they are saddened by the results but are glad to have closure as far as the cause of death. scary moments for a tv crew following up on a story of elder abuse in arkansas. three people had been -- have been arrested in the death of a elderly man including the man's son. what reporter and photographer went to the man's house they found the son's friend there. he certainly was not happy about them showing up. the friend asked the crew to leave and grabbed a gun from his car. he is facing aggravated assault charges. certainly not your average bungee jump. they clapped and cheered as the 25-year-old woman in the wheelchair went over a bridge for her first bungee jump.

she won a contest that helps people with disabilities achieve their extreme sports dreams. organizers say it's perfectly safe to bungee jump in a wheelchair. other news this morning, the cost to repair the 200-year-old basilica of the assumption in baltimore could cost nearly $5 million. official are the baltimore catholic archdiocese says cracks in the domes appeared after the east coast quake hit in august last year. the basilica will be closed to most visitors over 8 months beginning in june while the damage is repaired. and after being closed for several months, the central tower of the washington national cathedral is going to open for one day. the tower has been deemed structurally sound and safe for visitors and will open tomorrow to the annual tower climb. the cathedral closed back in august after it suffered damage from the earthquake. repairs to the cathedral are expected to cost 20 million dollars. that's going to be opened and the cherry blossom festival is

going on and a lot people are wondering if the weather is going to be okay. >> being see my face right. it's going to be a little wet going into the weekend. today we are dealing with the fog and we dealt with that all week long. we will dry out in terms of the fog tomorrow. but then the wet weather rolls in. but for right now, we have reduced visibility, three miles in baltimore and zero in york and also frederick. so we have dense fog advisories until 10 for this areas. you can see it's going downhill like they have been all week long before we go back up hill. right now, temperatures mild again and 58 in baltimore. 57 in easton and dc coming in at 61 degrees. we have the humidity out there. the satellite and radar, not picking up on a whole lot. we have the fog and will have the cloud but since we don't have that thick cloud cover, this will burn off earlier than it has been. now we look back off towards the west and we have a huge upper-level low spinning and this is the one that dropped
