powerful radar as of now, we are dry. so we have all five sweeps on but the fact is that as we go in through the weekend, that's when we will see some change in the forecast. you will want to stick around for that. let's talk about the roads right now. let's go over to angela foster. she has the foggy conditions don't you. >> reporter: yes, we have the foggy conditions on the harrisburg expressway. northwest expressway and also west of baltimore seeing a lot of fog on the cameras there. we will tell you about a situation in joppatowne where alternating traffic an philadelphia road between joppa farm road and joppa road a gas leak and emergency crews are on the scene. so expect delays. and if you travel in the city however 895 just north of child street you will see disabled on the ramp to charles street but not causing too much of a delay. let's look live at the foggy conditions. this is u.s. 50 maryland 8 from the easton shore you will see fog as you approach the chesapeake bay bridge and continue on into annapolis and harrisburg expressway. this is north of maryland 137. southbound with a lot more

activity but no major delays foggy conditions and a mta note, good friday to all computers. -- commuters we are on time with the buses and rails. 5:32. calls for justis are getting louder in the trayvon martin case. abc2 news linda so is here with the latest on investigators into the teen's death what they are expected to say today. >> reporter: we have learned federal officials will meet with trayvon martin afamily in florida today and a special prosecutor has been appointed by the state. >> justice for trayvon. >> reporter: thousands rallied at a park in florida to demand justice for the 17-year-old. hale -- rally was supposed to be held at a church but a was moved -- but was moved to a bigger crowd. the police chief announced whoa temporarily step down. trayvon was killed near his fiancee's house. george zimmerman said he killed him in stive defense but trayvon's father says that's a

lie. >> we want an arrest and we want a conviction for the murder of our son. >> reporter: we have learned police never interviewed key witness like trayvon's girlfriend who was on the phone as the incident happened and never gave zimmerman a prosecute -- a toxicology test. linda so, abc2 news. it's 5:34. we have new video to show you of a u.s. apache helicopter crash in afghanistan. look at this. the helicopter is flying very low over a military outpost last month when something goes wrong. the helicopter crashes into a snow covered landing zone. the vehicle keeps going and in the distance, it's does a couple flips. the two-man crew survived the crash and no one on ground was hurt. the u.s. army is investigating what caused the crash in the first place. the senate committee will vote on a measure to expand gambling in our state. this measure would allow table

games like blackjack and craps at maryland casinos which currently have slot machines and the bill would allow the casino in prince george's county to become a reality that would be in addition to the five casinos allowed under state law. only two have opened so far and a third is scheduled to open this summer in anne arundel county. tomorrow washington national cathedral says it will open its central tower which sustains significant damaged during last august earthquake. just for one day the tower has been deemed structurally sound and safe for visitors and will be opened to the public for a tower climb. the cathedral says visitors will be able to climb the 333 stairs from the ground to the top of the tower. repairs to the cathedral after the august earthquake are expected to cost around 20 million dollars. approximately 2 million dollars has been raised so far. baltimore catholic archdiocese officials say earthquake damage to a dome of nearly 200-year-

old basilica of the assumption in baltimore could cost about 5 million bucks to repair. the cracks to one of the domes at the oldest cathedral in the united states appeared soon after last summer's earthquake. and now has grown. now the basilica will be closed for about 8 months starting in june while the damage is repaired. news around the nation. captain. a california woman face attempted murder charges for trying to run over another woman. look at this. the surveillance camera capture the two arguing outside a store and the victim actually egged on the driver and the driver runs into her throwing her several feet. the suspects charged with assault and a deadly weapon. this is probably a reporter's worst nightmare. a tv station in memphis, tennessee, trying to follow up on a case of elderly abuse story in arkansas. three people were arrested for the abuse of an elderly man including the man's son. when the reporter went to the man's house, she was confronted by the son's best friend. you are about to see he was not
