>> look live at our camera down at the inner harbor on this friday, march 23rd. a foggy morning out there. so just a reminder that there are some delays for schools especially on eastern shore so check the bottom of the screen. we will keep you posted and informed. thanks for joining us i am megan pringle. we will start with weather and lynette charles. fog has been a big story and continues to be that way causing a lot of delays. >> from the beginning of the week to the end of the week we have been dealing with the foggy conditions and for today, we have more of the same and also mild and muggy outside once again. we do have the dense fog advisory to talk about this morning. it is in effect until 10 a.m. and you can see it for the areas shaded in the gray color. actually we have some updates so this extends out into washington county as of now as well as mont gol i -- montgomery county. we look at temperatures right now we are mild. and you can see the humidity at

100%. that means there's a lot of moisture in the air being trapped at the surface and that translates into fog. let's go over to angela with a check of the traffic and we have what couple accidents because of the fog right. >> reporter: we have had a couple accidents. they have all been cleared. as you head out this friday morning, the not so good news is it will be a foggy slow drive for most us out there. let's go ahead and get a live look at some of the traffic conditions and the fog you will encounter this morning. as traffic flow continues to increase on u.s. 50 this is in annapolis at i-97 northbound 97 definitely building already. as you continue into glen burnie and dealing with the fog this morning. if you travel on i-95 north of baltimore, brake lights in the southbound direction. as you approach the top side of 695, the fog impacting the drive on harrisburg expressway as we can see. 6 minutes from shawan to the beltway and on 95, about 8 minutes as you travel southbound from white marsh to

the beltway. on the top side 8 minutes from bel air to providence and traveling on the west side it's a 9-minute drive right now from 795 to i-70. over to you. it's 6:31. breaking news out of the state of michigan war state troop hears been shot and a suspect is dead. this happened in saginaw michigan a hundred miles north wert wert of detroit -- northwest of detroit. a trooper was shot in an exchange of gunfire with a suspect who reportedly got out of the car and started firing. suspect was killed and trooper shot and is expected to survive. other news calls of justice now getting louder and louder in the trayvon martin case. linda so is here with the latest on the investigation into the teen's death and what's expected to happen today. linda. >> reporter: we have learned federal officials will meet with trayvon martin afamily later today. we have learned that florida has pointed a special

prosecutor in the case. >> justice for trayvon. >> reporter: thousands rallied in last night in florida to demand justice for the 17-year- old. the rally was supposed to be held at a nearby church but was moved to park to accommodate the bigger crowd. trayvon was shot and killed last month near his father's fiancee's house george zimmerman the neighborhood watch let's here killed the unarmed teen said he did it in self-defense. but there's anger over how police handled the case. they never interviewed key witnesses like trayvon's girlfriend on the phone with him as the incident happened and they never gave zimmerman a toxicology test. town's police chief yesterday said he would temporarily -- the town's police chief yesterday said he would temporarily step down. >> i do this in hopes of restoring semblance of calm to the city that has been in term oil for several weeks. >> reporter: we have learned the local prosecutor has convened a grand jury april 10th to determine whether to charge zimmerman. linda he so, abc2 news.

look at these pictures we want to show you. a website military.com released video of a u.s. apache helicopter crash in afghanistan that helicopter was flying very low over a military outpost back on february 9th. now that's when something went wrong and circled around before crashing on a know covered -- snow covered landing zone. the two man crew survived the crash and no one on the ground was hurt. crazy enough to go bungee jumping off a brj but doing it in a wheel -- bridge but doing it in a wheelchair is brave and that's what a british columbia woman department she won a contest sponsored by a adventure company that helps people do extreme sports. they say bungee jumping in a wheelchair perfectly safe.

were injured during the massacre. we will keep you posted on the story. also new this morning, matthew vandyke the baltimore man who went to libya to join rebel fighters there is now making plans to fight once again. he sat down with abc2 news for an in-depth interview and linta -- linda so is here to tell us what he plans to do. this is surprising considering how much happened to get him back to the united states. >> reporter: he says he is not done fighting and wants to go to syria to joinrebel fighters there. he is watching the situation and when it's the right time he want to go as a fighter he. fighter emspent 8 -- fighter e spent 8 months as a freedom fighter and told his mom and girlfriend he was going there to document uprising and admit it was a lie and went to fight e was held in sol tarry confinement for six months. state department and lawmakers and international's the sis worked hard to get him
