>> reporter: a couple hundred people are here at pratt to protest the death of trayvon martin. the numbers have grown since the last time i took a look lots of people are down to protest this. as you may recall, martin was shot in what many call a case of racial profiling. today senator ben cardin spoke. if you ask just about any black man, hispanic man or any man in a minority group and they can tell you about encounters with authorities. it happened at least worse. for others. >> i can give you an accurate number how many i've been pulled over. >> reporter: he's a tall thin

towson university student with good grades and a good family. he said he's tired of it. >> people who haven't been in that situation can't understand. it's humiliating. they feel like they have done something wrong even though they might have not. >> reporter: senator ben cardin's law was put before congress a month before the death of trayvon martin. he said martin's death illustrates the need for this law more than ever. although it was in the law enforcement involved, too many times young men of ethnicities are singled out because of the way they look. >> it's unamerican and it doesn't make us safer. it makes us tough safe. we have a tough budget time. we need to use our resources to keep our community safe, not to harass our community. >> reporter: if you look behind

it's known as lane finely textured beef has come under fire prompting several grocery stores to say they will stop using the product. bmw is recalling 1.3 million cars saying in rare cases an installation issue is preventing cars from starting and could lead to a fire. it refers to five and six series cars from 2003 to 2010. bmw said owners will get a letter telling them to bring their cars in for a quick repair. so far, the dealerships haven't received information. jury selection has been delayed until wednesday in the twill of twin brothers accused of setting pitbulls on fire. they are trying to get a video

lots of folks are planning their summer trips. often time that is means a hotel stay. there's a disturbing trend of pranks preying on hotel geflts. the pranksters pick up the phone and call a random hotel room. when the guest answers, the prankster pretends to be calling from the front desk with an emergency. sometimes they tell them a gas leak and to break the window. it's causing damage and it's hard to catch the callers. >> let's have fun and see if we

education comes in paul different forms. one baltimore county woman with the love of horses decided to open her home to special needs children for some therapeutic riding. education reporter sherrie johnson shows how therapy horses are making a difference for students. >> reporter: molly starts grooms. it's a horse that helps with therapeutic riding. rose started serving students in 2001. molly was a student and her love for horses landed her a job. she admits the horses were a big help in her life. >> they have diserch personalities-- different personalities. they know when i'm upset or angry. they put their head on my shoulder. the consecutive director, horses
