from 10 in the morning. gop candidate rick santorum but his brother will be be campaigning in maryland. dan will hold a rally in frederick beginning at 10 this morning to discuss obama care and it's effect on small businesses. rick santorum will instead be in california delivering an address to the american foreign policy happening at 7 this evening. about 1500 people came out last night to hear ron paul talk at university of maryland college park but richey coliseum was filled. you can hear the crowd inside. some students were turned away with chants of president paul before the congressman spoke to a rousing crowd. new details about the moments after a neighborhood watchman shot and killed florida teen trayvon marten. >> george zimmerman's father is speaking out and so is trayvon martin's girlfriend. linda so is here with more on what they are saying this morning. >> reporter: martin's 16-year- old spoke with abc news and

says she was on the phone with martin before the shooting and he told her he was being followed. we also know from the police report that responding officers found zimmerman bleeding and grasping. zimmerman claims martin punched him and slammed his head to the ground but martin aparents say the video is proof zimmerman is lying. you can see zimmerman arriving at police station but there's no blood or bruises. the lead homicide investigator in the case has recommended zimmerman be charged with manslaughter but a state attorney's office says there was not enough evidence for an arrest. meanwhile, today, another rally is planned this time in dc to protest to kill laws such as florida's stand your ground law. zimmerman claims self-defense and has not been charged. ce claims martin ked us not to attacked his son. >> trayvon martin said something to the effect of you're going to die now or you're going to die tonight

something to that effect. he continued to beat george and at some point george pulled his pistol and did what he did. >> reporter: now tomorrow students at central michigan university in alabama a&m plan to hold a vigil to remember martin. we will continue to follow the story and bring you the latest details coming up in the next half-hour. linda so, abc2 news. yesterday, in d.c. things got heated on the floor of the house when illinois congressman bobby rush wore a hoodie in protest of martin's death. listen to what happened. >> racial profiling has to stop mr. speaker. just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum. >> the member will suspend. chair must remind -- >> does not require you but to do justly.

>> congressman rush was kicked off the house floor and ushered off the podium. hoodie had violates the house dress code rules. she's been fighting a battle for her son for five years and this morning a local mother has lost that battle. charges have been dropped in the case of 17-year-old isaiah simmons. >> he was attending a bollingbrook school in carroll county when he died and sherrie johnson is here with reaction from his mother. >> reporter: counselors from a former school for troubled youth in carroll county will face no criminal charges in the death of isaiah simmons. the east baltimore teen died in 2007. he was september to the school after being found responsible for a robbery. investigators say at least five counselors from that school restrained him from -- for more than three hours. when he stopped breathing they didn't call 911 for more than 40 minutes. the carroll county state's attorney says the detectives whoinvestigated the case faces anaccusation about his credibility and wouldn't be

>> that's a pretty big deal. the weather this morning not too bad. a little mild but the cold front did slice through. i will show you what will happen in a second. let's talk about what's going on right now. if you are listening, getting ready. the temperatures are not so bad. they are mild right now. but what's going to happen is we are going go downhill going through the rest of the morning. so, take that jacket with you or maybe you will be going out in the next two hours or so. it will be cooler then but we see 60s in baltimore and dc even down into culpepper. even over in the eastern shore, 61 degrees in easton right now. but this is the sign that we are going to get chillier and that cold front has passed through because those wind now are out of the northwest at about 5 to 15 miles an hour even close to 20 miles an hour in winchester coming in around 18. so these gusts once again will get up to about 30 to 35 miles an hour as we go into the
