three governors including texas governor rick perry will tour a plant in nebraska later today. they believe the product has been unfairly targeted. they want to show support for the company that makes so- called pink slime. several governors have come out in support of the lean final textured beef the chief engreed cents leftover bits of beef and treated with ammonia gas to kill bacteria.in recents weeks people have turned against the product. grocery chains have stopped selling it and the main producer had to temporarily shut down three of the four plants because of the recent backlash. >> this product is safe. this product contains less fat and has historically been less expensive. and if people understand the facts, then obviously they will make the right choices for the school district and for the families. >> reporter: now a spokesman for the national meat
