the flames started on the top floor of a 3-story building within 15 minutes. the fire caused the roof to collapse. firefighters who were inside had to evacuate to go on the defensive. the flames jumped the fire to the building next door and caught that house on fire. murphy would only watch as the place she called home for 72 years was destroyed. none of residents were hurt. the firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. a fallen army sergeant will be laid to rest. hundreds gathered in providence for the wake of dennis why col. long lines of mourners showed up to pay respects. he was killed by a armored vehicle while trying to save a little girl in afghanistan. >> doing what we thought needed to be done. he has children of his own and maybe seeing a child in danger,

the on and off ramps, use the extra caution because of the windy conditions. watch for debris as you travel out there this morning. it's been a nice morning as far as accidents go. northbound i-97 on your approach to 695, see to it the right side. it's partially blocking the roadway. for those of you traveling around the beltway, we are seeing things stack in, starting the wood lawn area, around the liberty road, to baltimore national pike, it's sluggish in the outer loop direction. investigators are trying to determine what caused a crash to happen in carroll county. it happened after 1:00 a.m. on pool road and route 32. authorities say the driver slammed in to a tree and died at the scene. local activists will rally. this will happen as the parents make their fight in washington. >> sherrie johnson is following both sides of the story with more on what is going to happen

today. >> charlie, yes, today in downtown baltimore, protesters will hit the streets in a call to action in the trayvon martin case. his parents will ask the u.s. justice department to review a prosecutor's interaction with police investigating the shooting death. we learned overnight that a medic was told not to come to the seen. it raises further questions that if shooter george zimmerman needed med medical attention why was the ambulance canceled. church and community members protested against the murders of the youth and martin. so far no charges have been filed against zimmerman. members in chicago hit the streets with the message that racism will not be tolerated.

6 out of 10 women would vote for president obama. in mid february, half of the voters supported the president. catholic school in baltimore is naming community center in honor of bill cosby and his wife. the couple is st. francis academy, the biggest donor in the 184 year history. the cosbys donated $2 million in 2005 to support the scholarship program. the school will host the couple april 20th for a common to name the community center after them. burger king is ready to introduce and expand the menu. the biggest change since the chain opened in 1954.
