>> reporter: living just two doors down, brandon got pulled into the commotion saturday night. >> another cop came from this direction. about 15 minutes later they all came. this guy was still running down the road. >> reporter: that guy is frank roberts. police wer trying to investigate his 911 call about burglary at the 41-year-old's home. but the focus of the investigation quickly became the victim. police say roberts let his dogs out and one of them charged a deputy who shot at the pitbull to protect him spe. the deputy missed the animal, but the attempt alone set roberts off as he came to the officers with a wooden handle of an ax. >> as soon as that gunshot went off, i could see one of the cops back up in the grass. the other were yelling at him. i'm sure he picked up a wooden

dowel and threatened him with it. >> reporter: and they tased him? >> yes. >> he started coming at one of your officers. >> yes. assaulted one and attempted to assault another one and was placed into custody. >> reporter: back on edgewater avenue, his house remains empty, at least for at least one dog you can hear barking from the street. saturday night, decidedly a different story on this normally quiet block. >> everybody was looking and watching. >> reporter: roberts remains locked up in cecil county on two counts of assaulting a plomplet police said they -- police officer. police say he are still

investigating that initial call. baltimore police need your help identifying the people in the video. we want to warn you the video is grafnlgt detectives are investigating the video that show has man being beaten. police said the video was given to them last night. they are trying to determine where it happened f you have information about the videotape you're asked to call police. a glen burnie man is recovering after he was beaten by at least 10 teens. it happened outside a pizza shop on ritchie highway. >> reporter: police say it happened about 3:30 behind a season's pizza shop. the man, who was an employee, was out back by the dumpster taking a smoke break. that's when a man approached him. when he refused, the man picked up a piece of wood and hit the

victim. then others jumped in. >> it appears they were very young in age, about eight to 10 of them, 15, 16 years old. officers were able to make a quick arrest, arresting three of them. the individual who picked up the wooden object was charged as an adult. robbery, armed robbery and first and second degree assault. >> reporter: police are hoping that surveillance video and the public will help them identify the other suspects in the case. we'll have more at 6:00. roosevelt leftwich, abc2 news. baltimore county police are looking for these three men who he is say store a clash drawer from the giants supermarket. the man in the first photo distracted the cashier at the customer service desk while the other two men used something to open up the cash drawer. a customer said they saw what was happening and pointed it out

to the cashier. another person saw two of the men get into a green suv and took off. police are asking anyone who recognizes the men to call crime stoppers. that number is 1-866-7-lockup. in a few hours students and staff from towson university will gather for a vigil over two students who died over the weekend. ryan bailey died and also timothy coyer died. police say the deaths are not connected. the vigil begins at 8:00. police are looking for the driver who hit and killed ryan bailey and are asking anyone who might know something about the crash to give them a call at

very sore looking kinda blistery. like somebody had set a bag of hot charcoal on my neck. i was a firefighter for 24 years. but, i have never encountered such a burning sensation until i had the shingles. i remember it well. i was in the back yard doing yard work. i had this irritation going on in my lower neck. i changed shirts because i thought there was something in the collar of the shirt irritating my neck. and i couldn't figure out what was going on. i had no idea it came from chickenpox. i always thought shingles was associated with people... a lot older than myself.

>> reporter: this year, college graduates can expect more job postings and higher salaries, but the job market is fierce. the average starting salary for the class of 2012 is $42,569 a career, up 4 1/2% from last year. there's also higher demand. for every entry level job opening employees received 33 applications, up from last year. what majors are in the best position to land a good job? engineering is number one, attracting the highest demand from employers and a starting salary of around $58,000. business and accounting majors are in high demafnltd employers are looking for degrees in computer science and economics, fields with the highest paying jobs, all with median salaries
