of the house. >> reporter: the thief took her cell phone. her family wasn't the only one that was hit. harford county sheriff said several other homes in kingsville and joppa were struck between march 28th and april 1st. they tried to get into at least 10 other homes. >> we're asking residents in the community, if they see anything suspicious, you know what's normal and what's not. if it looks suspicious, give us a call. better yet if you see a char that looks unusual, catch a tag number. >> reporter: they're stepping up patrols and plan to put officers on bikes. meantime, the burglars hit their home on thursday. the family had a new alarm system by friday. they will also let the two large dogs roam the house. >> it's very frightening. you think that you're safe.

you take it for granted a little bit. you live in a nice area. i would have never thought somebody would come through the window. it's a tall window and it's tiny. >> reporter: the sheriff's office will have deputies in the community. they will be available to answer questions about home security and the latest rash of burglaries. it will be at the mountain christian coach until k-78 tonight -- 8:00 tonight, roosevelt leftwich. >> we got in touch with the police department to see if there's a connection between the harford burglaries and the ones in whitemarsh. at this point they said there's no connection. the warmer weather is in-- contributing to the recent burglaries. police say if you see something suspicious, report it. if a vehicle is involved, try to get aing that number and give that to police.

delegates to clinch the nomination. senator ben cardin won the nomination. he easily beat out state senator anthony muse. he won 74% of the vote and now focuses on general election. he said healthcare and creating jobs are the most important issues. his republican opponent will be daniel bongino. he served on the detail that protected the president. bongino beat out richard douglas and nine other candidates. bongino said people are ready for action. >> nancy jacobs within in the 2 district. she won with 60% of the vote. she will now take on democrat

during the day and add more physical activity to their daily lives. imagine not being able to see your hands or medication that could save your life. senator barbara mikulski is fighting to put an end to that. prescription drug shortages has been an issue. she talked about it at the university of maryland medical center. pharmacies buy a big amount of pills and juggle them to other companies and it puts patients in jeopardy like josh. >> my dream depends on that. >> he said he feels guilty when he's able get the drugs he needs, wondering who will not be able to get it. here we are, the fifth annual brick bodies challenge.

bans because no rain and humidity levels below 20%. these red shaded counties, that's or area almost including cecil county. to the south we have a severe weather threat. there's a freeze concern for western pennsylvania. so you can see there are watches and warnings surrounding maryland but nothing in our state except for garrett county. take a look. the main storm track is to our south and west. we continue to see storms flaring up west virginia back through kentucky and that is part sort of an edge of the weather maker that pushed through texas yesterday. it's a large storm system, double barreled low pressure. the main center of the storm north of oklahoma, still big storm flaring up down toward northern alabama and up through the tennessee valley. here in maryland, the boundary is south of us. that's allowing the skies to clear and still warm in

baltimore. we see most of the warm air is bottled up south of us. 60s and 50s to the north. the cool hair will edge in for the next two days including the season opener on friday. looking at the overall pattern. most of the rain will stay off to the south. down to 42, clear and breezy. tomorrow your two-degree guarantee 62 and sunny, so cooler and getting rather cool tomorrow night down to 36. could see frost in the northwest suburbs. we look at the outlook. again, sunshine and 60, tough to complain for the orioles opener. warmer by easter, jamie. >> hey, we now note ravens preseason schedule. one's going to be on national tv. the other one against a new opponent. >> the ravens will start the preseason against the falcons on

august the 9th and against detroit the following friday and jacksonville on the 23rd and st. louis on the 30th. the regular season schedule will be released in the next couple of weeks. list on it this story out of howard university, washington, d.c. they have suspended the teams. a statement, a university spokeswoman says it is with regret that we have temporarily suspend intercollegiate competition. this is a self-imposed action by the university that conduct the review. we are working quickly to resolve the issue. they compete in the miacc. copen state -- cop penn state said they have not told if the game has been suspended.

taxpayer the house of delegates passed the capital busmght -- budget. it pays for infrastructure projects and spurs construction work to create jobs and calls for more than $351 million to build and renovate schools there. were some changes made by the house but now have to be worked out by the senate. another note to tell you b the howard university in d.c. canceled all intercollegiate. now they're going to say some -- there will be some scheduling of games but some of the players won't be able to play. it's confusing, i know. we'll have for at 11. >> through the delay much cooler. we were in the mid-70s. only low 60s tomorrow. looking at that home opener on friday. 60 with sunshine, pretty good tailgating. >> all right. that's it for us at 6:00.
