cheryl conner has more. >> reporter: you scratch your head and wonder how lucky people are. this is moments after the fighter jet crashed this afternoon. it happened in the virginia beach area. both pilots jumped out with parachutes sending that unmanned plane into several apartment buildings. two more had significant damage. crews had not heard from anyone regarding missing loved ones. they searched for anyone who might have been inside. listen. >> i looked out and saw a pilot bleeding from the nose and his parachute hanging from the building, i knew what had happened. his jet had crashed. >> i knew one day something like this would happen. they're coming in lower and it's scary. >> reporter: the apartment complex is a few yards away from

intor. now to a developing story. the state's highest court is hearing a case of a same sex couple who married in california but want to be divorced in maryland. the judge said the women's marriage isn't valid under state law. the lawyers said the state should recognize same-sex marriages even though it doesn't recognize it at this time. lawmakers in the house and the senate are trying to compromise on how quickly to shift responsibility. >> either way you slice it, spending is going up by a billion dollars and there's

massive tax increases, but the o'mally administration and this administration by taxing people is next to criminal. >> a joint committee did not meet. monday is the final day of the session. in tonight's consumer alert, an important recall to tell you about. chrysler is recalling 1700 jeeps because of a faulty gas tank valve. it affects some 2012 all wheel drive jeep come passes and patriot suvs. the valves were damaged when tested for leaks. the valves can like gas if the suv is involved in the crash. the recall is expected to start in june. dealer also replaces -- dealers will replace the fume tank free of charge.

labor market has taken a beating over the last few years. while the people managing to hold on to their jobs have security, they're suffering from work related stress. according to a new survey, workers across various industries are stressed out, so much so that stress is affecting their work behavior and productivity. more than half said stress made it harder for them to focus on tasks. more than 20% said they made more errors or missed deadlines. another 1% had conflict with coworkers. employees can hang on to grudges and blame one another. some turn on weaker, more vulnerable colleagues. part of the problem is that overworked employee's often won't say they're stressed. bosses need to be aware. so how can you ensure that stress doesn't get the better of

temperature wise 60 in baltimore. hagerstown 60. 57 in easton. 59 in atlantic city, new jersey. 57 in oc. winds from the north continuing to blow at a pretty good clip, gusting to 2 at the top of the 6:00 hour. so breezy, dry and the recipe for a rapid cooloff under a crystal clear sky. the only active weather was down toward easton, north carolina. it's pushing further and further offshore. just crystal clear and high pressure will continue to push in out of the north and west, big dome, big dome of clear air. as that drifts further east tomorrow and centers over the mid-atlantic, we'll look for skies to remain clear. as the high pressure settles in, we won't have the ingredients for that high wind field. saturday clear and sunny.
