him, jumped in the swollen river and got stuck under the embankme embankment. the fire department brought in a team of divers to dig through this team of concrete to get the dog out. the fire captain was about to prep the media and say, hey, we lost him. >> and then we just decided to -- the captain said i just want to search one more place. >> take a look at this picture from the "wichita eagle." this is taz's nose breaking through. and they realize, proof of life. the dog is alive. so his owner, john huey gorkts in the water to comfort him as they finished the rescue. this whole rescue effort took around two hours. >> this poor little guy. what a brave dog to be caught in that space for so long and to hear the noise of the rescuers. and he made it out. >> and he also did his part in his own rescue, too, because if he hadn't tried to, youknow, sniff his way out of wherever he was, they would never have sn him. >> of course, mr.

reuescd h dog. >> absolutely tremendous. i thank every one of them. they all went the extra mile. punxsutawney phil, the ground hog from pennsylvania, can do a lot more than just predict the weather. he can also save lives. a military convoy was on its way into punxsutawney, pennsylvania, when a 22,000-pound striker, a milita military all-terrain vehicle lost its brakes. the driver managed to find a runaway truck ramp and look at this thing. wjac in pennsylvania managed to get the surveillance video from the s the sunoco station from across the street and that's how we can see the crash. this truck goes blasting through barriers and in the end a couple barrels full of sand. it launched the vehicle into the air. what stopped it from going into a diner full of people was a 28-foot punxsutawney phil sign, right there. >> are you kidding me? >> when my father put up the

girder, we always joked about it would stop a tank, is the way he built it. and it honestly did. >> i love this story. look at that groundhog doing some good. >> seriously, just beyond that was a restaurant full of people. it could have been disastrous. it . >> it saved the lives of 15 to 20 customers in there eating. >> that military strike is worth about 4 million bucks. two personnel were taken to the hospital, treated and released. nobody was hurt in this incident. 9/11 changed the world. there's a new documentary that features a 9/11 story you may not have heard. >> i was flying through the air. >> this is tan wya head. her story was she survived the attacks on the twin towers. and she told a very graphic story about her survival.

>> i was smelling my own skin burning. i started crawling over people burnt from head to toe, cut up. and i was trying to help them. >> tanya became a hero to many survivors. and tanya even became the president of the world trade center survivors network. in september of 2007, her real story was revealed. >> when they said they were doing a piece on tanya head, i said, well, that's very good. and i started to answer their questions, and about a quarter of the way in, i realized this wasn't just a piece thursday was an investigation. >> the person we saw, believed in, never existed. >> oh, no. >> tanya wasn't there in the south tower on september 11th, 2001. >> what? >> a documentary about tanya's story that includes executive footage is about to premier on investigation discovery. the name of the film is "the woman who wasn't there" and we have the director with us via

skype "right this minute." you thought her story was true, right? >> oh, yeah. there wasn't a second that she sat in front of my camera where i did not believe she was nothing less than an authentic 9/11 survivor. >> what was it about the story you thought wasn't right. >> well, you thought, well, she is so traumatized, she has trouble remembering facts. and that was true of a lot of survivors. >> was she trying to do this for financial gain or was she legitimately trying to help the survivors? >> i think she had that sense of compassion we all had at that point. she did it for no financial gain. she comes from a very wealthy family, she went to the best schools, she learned to speak english at a young age. >> she's not an american? >> no. she was born and raised in spain. >> oh, my goodness. >> tanya head was an invented character. she used real people to incorporate into her fictitious story.

this gorilla has a very interesting best friend. >> samantha, the gorilla, and her friend panda. >> what? >> panda is a dutch rabbit. there's a sad story, though, behind this really nice friendship. samantha is 47 years old. she is a gorilla. her partner of many years, rudy, died in 2005. at one point, they gave samantha a stuffed animal, her baby. she really liked this stuff animal, and they thought, hmmm, let's give her a real friend. they gave her a rabbit. and you have samantha and panda, best friends. >> how long have they been together?

>> they have been together a little over a month. they were introduced in february, slowly. >> they supervise things really well to make sure that panda felt comfortable with samantha, before they actually left them alone. >> these videos are popping up on youtube, because people are loving the fact that samantha has a bunny. i wonder if they take naps together, if the bunny cuddles up in samantha's arms. >> let's ask kelly miller, with the erie zoo to tell us about this unusual friendship. kelly, tell us about the decision to introduce a real rabbit into samantha's life. >> it was a very long process. the option for throwing around -- because of her age, it could be too rough for her, and our zoo veterinarian brought up the idea of a rabbit and looked into it, and found it's perfect for her. >> did you guys ever worry a little bit about the bunny would then become dinner? >> yeah, we were a little

nervous. and then the day they were introduced, i'm not going to lie, i didn't really want to see, just in case. and i heard you mentioned earlier her baby. and her baby is extremely important to her. and is she has had it as long as i can remember. and a great time was when panda hopped over to samantha, and kind of mirrored baby, and everyone got a little bit nervous. but she actually pushed the baby out of the way so panda could get closer to her, so right there we knew, this was going to be a good match. what's up, guys? i'm here in quebec city in this beautiful place, and we're here to do some trick shots. >> guess who is back, our favorite ultimate fridaysyy frisbee trick shot guy, brody smith. he was invited by aja, basically
