offices, baltimore residents joining national tax day protest, demanding 1%. the rally for tax justice is going to begin at 5:00 in front of the shot tower across the street from the post office. carl stoke h be there along with occupy baltimore, schoolteachers and religious leaders. a busy day at the post office, last minute mailings, the post stall workers union will happened out information and petitions. congress proposed layoffs to postal workers and the closure of 3000 u.s. post offices. annapolis, house republicans will discuss the possibility of a special session offering more on the doomsday budget. a press conference held at 11:00, in the low house office building. if an agreement is not reached the budget will take affect july 1st.

baltimore city is trying to come up with a plan to relieve the woes. one option maybe having businesses, spots or local fire houses. >> reporter: corporate sponsorship could be the solution to part of the budget mess. this comes proposed closing of three fire companies announceed this month. councilman wants to keep them open and hoping corporate america might be willing to pay the bill. ladder truck in east baltimore is one of three companies set to close to be replace bade engine and medic unit. there is a petition to keep truck 15. they have 700 signatures. >> this is the fire department.

former uva student, huguely, will be sentenced august 30th , the lacrosse star convicted of killing yeardly love, his former girlfriend. the murder happened two years ago. a jury convicted him in february. they recommended a sentence of 26 years in prison. two teenage boys charged with arson in a church fire. the 12 and 13 year olds found gasoline and lighter in side a unlocked shed behind the church. investigators say one of the boys poured the gasoline and the others set the fire. police don't think this was a hate crime. a crime had a store clerk laughing. a man threatened the clerk with hot dog tongs. the man was drunk and threatened the clerk and wanted the money. the man was in the store for 15 minutes. he wrote a note apologizing and waiting for police. the man said he was fighting with his wife and wanted to go to jail.
