edible gardens. children from neighborhood schools -- with the goal of 1,000 gardens by 2018, the sponsor, scotts miracle gro shows a way to give back and to teach urban farming and healthy eating. >> providing them a benefit back from a value of the gardening. we viewed it as a big opportunity to help. so far, this is our second one. it's going very well. >> we're seeing a real difference. we were here yesterday. this was just dirt and people were looking around like what's going on. you come today. it's an area that's been transformed. >> reporter: a $25,000 grant will beautify this, raise property values and bring together communities. >> this garden is yours. so that allows more

luckily, nobody was killed. the 76-year-old driver has been charged with careless driving. well, one man takes it all off at the airport. take a look at this. he's on the right side of the scene. he created a scene in portland, oregon. as he passed through security, he stripped down nosmght witnesses said he had been pulled aside for extra screening. >> am i doingian thing ill -- doing anything illegal. >> the man had no carry on. the man thought he was being harassed, so he protested. he has been arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. a suspected car thief in kentucky got a lot more than he bargained for. once the vehicle came to a stop, the police dog on the scene clammed down on the man --

bulb that's supposed to last 30 times longer than your incandescent light. >> reporter: retailers have been pushing compact light bulbs. a new era of lighting is upon us. once gain you -- again you have to decide. the bulb from phillips will retail for $50. it as a lifetime of 30 years. >> consumers think of it as inexpensive, a disposable product. what we need this get consumers to recognize is how much it costs to run a light bulb. >> reporter: it will cost about $1.20 a year, less than compact

>> made this more difficult to come out of a recession. as a result the job losses have continued and women have born the blunt. >> reporter: some surveys show romney trails obama by 40 points when this comes to latino voters. president obama isn't taking them for granted. his campaign said it's launching a new spanish language ad today in key battleground states in florida, nevada and colorado. from ohio today -- >> somebody gave me an education. i wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but somebody gave me a chance. >> reporter: it isn't all grim news for mitt romney. the republicans seem to be coming around much more quickly than expected with an endorsement from inned i. governor mitch daniels. the question is who are they voting for? if you look at the cnn/orc poll, this is about romney voters. more than 50% said they will be

voting against president obama. only 36% said they will be voting for the candidate himself. >> romney is going to ohio tomorrow. they're fighting over the state, aren't they? >> reporter: they're definitely fighting over it. we got some insight into what romney's campaign has and. it's called bracketing, as term. they set out a host of radio interviews before his speech in ohio. take a look at this. romney's campaign parked the bus across the street from where the president gave a spee. tomorrow romney heads to tomorrow and gives the speech himself. now you get it. they're bracketing obama's entire trip there. >> thank you. we'll talk about what she just said about mitt romney getting another endorsement today. that's indiana governor mitch daniels. romney says that daniels shares his background in business and has used the principles.
