in self defense. there is a similar case locally. some are calling it a case of racial profiling. two brothers are accused of beating a black teenager during neighborhood watch patrol. sherrie johnson has more on the story. >> reporter: in a few hours, the trial is set to begin for two brothers accused of beating a is a-year-old black teenager. the brothers were part of a community patrol organization in northwest baltimore. it happened in november of 2010, when the brothers were pa trelling a north docks jewish neighborhood. the brothers are white and claimed self defense. they said the teen was holding a nail studded board. the teen was walking on fall staff at 12:45 when a car pulled up and two males began driving next to him. the men followed him before jumping out of the car and

surrounding him. he says, they grabbed him and threw him to the ground and hit him in the head and said you don't belong her. the brothers' attorneys say there were other crimes in the area and thought the teen was a suspect. they are hoping the trayvon martin case will draw attention to racial profiling when it comes to neighborhood watch programs. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. evacuations, detours, power outages, the situation in canton, crews were fighting a warehouse fire. linda so is live on more with what happens now. we learned new information in the last 10 minutes, correct? >> reporter: we got off the phone with bge. they tell us crews have been working overnight to restore power. when the fire broke out, it knocked out power to a transformer and left 1500 homes in the area without power. everyone, almost everyone has

been restored. we have 62 homes that are left without power but told the power should be restored to everyone by 7:00 or 8:00 this morning. back here live, you can see fire crews are on the scene. this is 9 hours after this warehouse fire broke out. they are spraying water on the warehouse, they are doing that to douse hot spots in the area. woe are told this fire was brought under control at midnight. crews went in the building before 1:00 this morning, the warehouse was completely burned out. they are trying to figure out what caused the fire. this is what it looked like when crews got here at 8:30, this is the eastern plating company on bayless. it's a chemical plating company that specializes in coating metal. the fire reached 3 alarms and several homes evacuated on tune street when the high winds kept fueling the fire. a transformer outage we told you about knocked out power to

1500 homes, we are told that power should be restored to even by 7:00 or 8:00 this morning, we spoke with the captain, in chag on the scene, he tells us crews will be here at least through 7:00 this morning, so if you live in the area of the 1200 block of south bayless, you should expect road closures as you are headed out this morning. opening arguments start in the trial of john edwards. he is accused of conspiracy, issuing false statements and violating contribution laws. he was so determined to hide his pregnant mistress, he tapped two supporters for hundreds of thousands of dollars to cover up the affair. his lawyers called the case crazy. the payments were gift from friends and say nothing to do with the elections. he was trying to hide the affair from his wife, and not the voters they say.
