test? if they do it's not going to be identified as a pitbull terrier. >> reporter: what she is afraid of is people will stop adopting dogs from shelters. or dogs will be abandoned by their owners to the streets. >> 50% of people in baltimore city are renters. a lot of them loan dogs. our concern would be they would start surrendering pets either out of fear of this new thing or landlords telling them they have to get rid of their pet. >> reporter: the key, she said is educating the owner. pitbulls are a dog that need last lot of exercise and attention. you can't just chain them up or crate them and expect them to be fine. >> well, they beat man. they burglarized his home and took his dog.

three men attacked a man outside of his home on willow drive in the winding brook neighborhood. a man and a coworker had been drinking beer outside when one left to go inside. that's when three men assaulted him. >> whenever he get out of the van and walked to the house, somebody came and whooped him. >> the thieves made off with a big screen tv a lop top computer and the family's dog. the victim suffered a broken bone in his face and a gash required more than 80 stitches. neighbors said this is the second time the man has been targeted. they said the dog mysteriously showed back up at the house the next day. >> this next ory is a matter of your public safety. jamie costello joins us with a shift in policy. >> reporter: he as really frustrated tonight feeling that harford county is spinning its

we're talking about vitamins and cancer. more than half of americans take dietary supplements, some promising to ward off cancer. a new study said those customers might be wasting their money, that several trials have shown an increased risk of cancer associated with some of the supplements. a new study found that more than a quarter of nonsmoking apartment residents say they smelled their neighbor's smoafnlgt the study's lead author said children, especially, are vulnerable because second hand smoke could put them at rise being for asthma or cystic fibrosis. the findings support evidents to make all multiunit apartment buildings smoke-free. a pacifier is a way of life for many babies, but some
