listen to that raining baseball size hail in parts of texas, northwest of dallas. a number of windshields were destroyed. this was shot north of headlee texas on 273. today a florida highway reopened after a brushfire burned 100 aircraft -- acres. the owners of a 150-year-old home in minnesota didn't want to let it go quietly. they brought if a company called drive a tank to knock it down the the people watched the tank roll through the home four times. the owners had lived there for 20 years and just moved out over the weekend. it took 25 minutes for the tank to flatten that home. we'll be right back.

winds are variable but they have generally been from the south today bringing that warmer, milder air. you see the highs reaching into the mid-80s in the inner harbor. the chance or a shot for 90-degrees, i think briefly cooler tomorrow. briefly, maybe mid to upper 70s. we look for more cloud cover tomorrow, less sunshine and there's enough cool hair just north of maryland that could kind of mix in that could prevent us from getting as warm as we did tomorrow but it will be for the warm day. then we will warm up rapidly. to the west the storm spinning through chicagoland, but for the most part our storm system is locked up to the north of us and warm air feeding into the south side. we're not warm sector. that someone cooler hair to the north may mix in tomorrow, drop us into the upper 70s, still above average. 70 would be asmg for the first day of may. all right.

obama's team is already taking shots at mitt romney. meanwhile, romney is marking the one-year anniversary of the death of osama bin laden. president obama made a surprise visit to afghan and will hold a news conference with hamid karzai. we'll have the details. >> reporter: this is a day when really the agenda took an unexpected term with president obama's surprise trip to afghanistan. it is his fourth trip to that country, his third as president. we are told that president and hamid karzai have signed a strategic partnership agreement after most troops withdraw in 2014. currently there are more than 130,000 coalition troops, 90,000 of which are american.
