mother. neighbors reported hearing 52-year-old susan legal -- leam crying out for help. they discovered she had been stabbed in the neck and chest repeatedly. >> i actually held the door open. she was leaning against the wall and was bleeding and had a blanket around her. >> investigators found the victim's son 23-year-old eric leam who had handcuffed himself and still holding the bloody knife. his mother is in critical condition right now at shock trauma. howard county police charged this man, benjamin blessing with armed robbery after he robbed a pharmacy by threatening the pharmacist with syringe full of blood he said was tainted with aids. employees said a man came into the store, held a syringe with

what he said was aids tainted blood. he was able to take more than $25,000 worth of medication before leaving. luckily the pharmacist was not hurt. police identified the man has blessing. he is being held in the howard county detention center on $175,000 bond. more cameras are being installed and the new cameras are going into parts of northeast baltimore including north avenue, bel air road, harford road. it's designed to help police prevent crime in the first place and identify suspects caught on video committing crimes. >> i can remember -- i recall a homicide case going back a year ago where a suspect used a stick, a tree branch, actually

27% of teens say they smoked not in the last month. one in 10s will said they used marijuana at least 20 times a month in 2010. in 2008 only 19% of teens in the same survey said they were using less than once a movement research shows teens who smoke 0 or -- 20 or more times a month are more likely to use other drugs like ecstasy, cocaine or crack. the government told us how they will keep deadly e. coli from invading our barbecue. the usda will do this boy what they call speed tracking. once there's a report of tainted meat, within 48 hours you'll know whether your package in the fridge is safe or not. they're past the halfway mark. we have 12 contestants to see who can lose the most weight

pretty thelt thy thunderstorms with a -- pretty hefty thunderstorms. here's a better look. it's moving rapidly south. it's tracking south of the corridor. our current storm track with maryland's most powerful radar takes us into brunswick and points south as we push past 6:30. so people in the areas need to watch out for intense thunderstorm moving in this direction. for most of us we're looking clear. you can see central maryland storm free. all right. bell hair today take a look. this was a cloudy scenario, no rain, no thunderstorms, maybe morning drizzle. tough to find sunshine on main street. in laurel, cloudy scenario, a little bit of sun breaking through at time. beaches stuck in the 50s. you're on the other side of that boundary so nothing like the beach weather we had in oc.

to the west, look at this contrast well into the mid-70s toward winchester but north and east, cecil county, mid-50s. we get it occasionally in the spring and the fall with that boundary right across -- i mean diagonally you can paint it to york, including baltimore, cooler north and east. you get the point on that. it's humid. maybe another shower or two but basically as we look at the broader radar picture you can see limited shower storm activity, western maryland and that's just about it. that should begin to die off over the next hour or so. the visible satellite shows why we were clouded up. so much sunnier where they were pushing 90 in spots today. not far south at all. 90 with sun. now tomorrow, if this boundary shifts, we should be back into
