forecast with meteorologist lynette charles. again could be a wet thursday. >> yes, you're right at least the start. definitely dealing with some wet weather. it is starting to weaken though and that's some good news. we got a little which was good and now we're going to get a little bit of a break but still some showers arnold baltimore county pushing in. we can see around wood lawn, randallston, baltimore, dun dock also in it and also overly. this is light rain we're dealing with. no real big downpours. to the eastern shore with some moderate rain. you can see in a couple of yell row areas the darker green in- between galena and also chestertown. once again kent county southward some wet weather across that area and again this is light showers around chunkville at this time -- churchville at this time. take your rain gear as you head out and about. we will dry out in the later morning hours into the afternoon but once again there's the possibility for more scattered showers to pop up into the afternoon.

but for this morning, we're also dealing with some patchy fog out there. reduced visibilities so take it easy on the roadways, we only have about four miles in baltimore and seven in easton. five in dc right now and three in hagerstown. so temperatures are above average but take that jacket with you just in case you get on the cool side today. all right a check now of the traffic with lauren cook. good morning. lynette as you said we are dealing with quite a bit of fog out there this morning and do expect reduced visibility. turn on the low beams as you head out. as far as the jfx is concerned the construction continues at 28th street. one lane shut down in both directions this morning. overnight the northbound lanes will be shut down completely as crews work to repair the damaged drainpipes. those you will want to stick with falls road or even charles street as your alternate routes. on the beltway a live look at the west side of liberty road. the outer loop really starting to slow down. a pretty congested drive down to interstate 70. in the parkville area things

are looking much better here. you have a quick 11 minute ride on the outer loop from 95 up to 83. we have a disabled car on 95 right along the southbound lanes at katen avenue and another accident? downtown baltimore that's going to be right obama madison street. for those of you no howard county we have a serious crash that has shut down the northbound lanes of route 108 at red branch route. stick with route 100 or route 175 as the alternate. that's a look at your timesaver traffic. back to you. we're hearing more about the call after police say that a mother stabbed her 8-month- old baby during a social services visit. >> yeah, abc2 news linda so listened to the audiotapes and joins us now with the complete story. linda? >> there were several 911 calls placed in the moments after the baby was tapped. police say the mother kenisha thomas stabbed her baby daughter five times in the neck and head. it happened last week in baltimore. thomas remains in jail this morning without bond. the baby pretty diamond was

released from the hospital on monday. >> biological parent is stabbing her baby with a knife. >> somebody go see if the baby is breathing please. >> and we've learned the governor plans to visit the social services office later morning to thank the workers who responded quickly to save the baby's life. linda so, abc2 news. new information this morning about the son accused of stabbing his own mother in westminster. neighbors say that they heard the 52-year-old suzanne liem crying out for help on tuesday night. they called deputies to the home on golden rod terrace. >> she actually held the door open when she was leaning against the wall. she was bleeding and she had a towel around -- a blanket around her. >> suzanne liem was taken to shock trauma. her son erik liem was holding the knife when he got there. he is now facing charges this morning. police in phoenix say possibly hazardous materials in

the backyard now their investigation into the shooting deaths of five people. man shot and killed five people including a toddler before being found dead. officials have been testing an unknown liquid in that backyard. new video this morning captured on board a school bus in south carolina. two school employees were arrested after video apparently showed them hitting a 10-year- old special needs student. the child's face has been blurred. looks like the adults hit the boy in the face and then pushed him while trying to put on a safety harness. they are charged with simple assault and battery. one north carolina pastor's sermon is now causing uproar today. >> over remarks he made about thousand deal with children who may or may not be gay. >> man up. give a good punch. okay? you're not going to act like that. >> well, pastor harris says he didn't mean for parents the literally punch their kids.

the region so the expect some reduced visibility. reduce the speeds and turn on the low beams if you head out. the west side of the beltway traffic really picking up here at liberty road. do expect a slow ride down to 70. fortunately only 11 minute ride traveling the outer loop on the east side from 95 up to 83. checking in can taking a live look at the harrisburg expressway. no delays here. we have all that ongoing construction on the jfx at 58th street and one lane is shut down in both directions the morning and then later tonight the northbound lanes will be completely shut down at 28th street as crews work to repair all of those damaged drainpipes. so you will want to stick with falls road or central cheat as -- charles street as the alternate route. expect a slow ride southbound to white marsh boulevard and cayton avenue a disabled car and a serious crash in columbia shut down the northbound lanes of loop 108 at red branch road.

stick with route 175 or route 100 as the alternate. that's a look at your traffic traffic. back over to you. was it self-defense or a brutal beating? now up to a judge to decide. >> we're talking about two brothers accused of beating an african-american teenager. and they should learn their fate today. abc2 news linda so joins us with more on this case. linda? >> reporter: we've learned the judge plans to announce her decision sometime this afternoon. both sides rested their case after closing arguments yesterday. eli and avi werdesheim were charged with beating a 15-year- old black teen patrolling in 2010 for a jewish neighborhood watch. eli took the stand yesterday and told the court he acted in self-defense saying the teen attacked him first with a nail studded board and also testified he thought his skills in the israeli military would have helped calm things down during the confrontation. the defense requested a motion to drop charges but that was denied. the judge says she plans to announce her decision this afternoon. we'll stay on top of it and bring you the latest developments on air and online. linda so, abc2 news. it is now 6:48.

and coming up, demonstrators will march? a hoodie freedom walk today in birmingham, alabama. it's in honor of trayvon martin. several walks have been held in the country bringing attention to trayvon martin's death. all right, well take a look halt this. in stockton, california police are defending their angsts after the beating of a -- actions after the beats of a suspect and it was caught on camera. they say the suspect was drunk and tried to grab an officer' gun before flowing. the video was shot of the officers beating the men dozens of times with batons. some see this video and say it's excessive but officers say because the man grabbed for a gun they had to use force necessary to bring him down. the parents of robert champion jr. are holding a news conference in atlanta. this comes a day after 13 people were charged in the man's death. they have been charged and felony hazing, the charges come after more than five months after champion died after being beaten on board a charter bus.

sherrie johnson has more on the story. >> i remember sitting on the couch yesterday just glued to espn and this morning assiege for answers as to why he may have taken his own life. today the examiner hopes to offer more information about the 43-year-old's death. seau played for the chargers, the dolphins and new england patriots. police say he died of a self- inflicted gunshot wound. after retiring from the nfl, in 2010, he survived a 100-foot fall in his suv down a seaside cliff after his arrest for domestic violence. it could be related to depression and that could cause suicide. his family and former teammates are simply in shock. >> leave my son alone. >> my brother was a loving brother. a caring citizen. >> it doesn't make sense man. i just know how great a heart this guy had. >> now seau' death follows the suicide of former bears player
