water temperatures around 60. there is that narrow band. they aren't even as significant as what the model indicated they may be which really wasn't that much to start with. very narrow band, other than that quiet weather, active weather on the gulf coast with moisture and heavy flooding rains still surging into parts of the deep south including alabama. warm air out of the west. cool air out of the north and east. maryland on the squeeze play line. stalled frontal boundy. this is starting to wash out. by coming less of a sharp boundy. i think tomorrow we will break out with warmer temperatures in to the mid80's. with that, potentially a line of showers, sneaking out of the north. it lookalikes they may well wash out. possible that we could see afternoon showers, just plan accordingly with your friday afternoon plans.

. in tonight's consumer alert we all hate having to check our bags but now a airline is taking the extra charges to a whole new level. allison has more on this new bag fee. >> reporter: spirit is raising its fee to bring a carry on bag on board the plane from $45 to $100 each way. that's $200 round trip. carry ons are the bag that go into the overhead bins. the fee doesn't apply for personal items like the purse or laptop that can hit under the seat. this is not out of the normal for spirit. the airline is known for charging a lot of fees and the strategy seems to be working. the company's ceo said it's a

industry first. the tradeoff is that their fares are cheaper than the big carriers around $75 one way during the first three months of this year. there are some things customers can do to save on the bag fees. you are only pay the 100-dollar fee if you get to the airport, go straight through security and get to the gate and then realize you haven't paid for the carry on. a little planning saves money. it'll cost $50 per bag if you pay at the ticket counter before you go to a security. the cheapest way is to pay $35 when you book your ticket online. also, unlike most if you fly spirit it's almost always cheaper to check the bag than carry on, usually about $5 less. these new fees go to effect in november. >> what's up with all these fees in if you want to go with machine who speaks another language google will soon offer
