walkersville is at 57 and we are going to be a little on the breezy side for today. those winds out of the south at about 10 to 15 miles an hour. let's get a check of the abc 2 time safer traffic with lauren. good morning. >> reporter: -- timesaver traffic with lauren good morning. >> reporter: good morning. there's crash on route 22 at shamrock road and baltimore city, there's another accident reported right on hillen road at lakeside drive. using the jfx to get into the city, watch out for the ongoing construction that continues to block one lane in both directions at 28th street. no backups at moment. but later on you might want to stick with falls road or charles street as an alternate route. and everything is up to speed through the fort mchenry tunnel. here's a live look at 895 at o'donnell street. no problems getting through the harbor a tunnel this morning either. that's a look at your abc timesaver traffic now back to you. more on the traffic alert that may not affect your commute today but could be an issue for late night drivers. sherrie johnson now standing by with more on the closures

happening along the jfx. what's going on out there. >> reporter: that's right. well, right now charley look behind me at the jfx, not too bad. we are seeing a little traffic but not too bad. but of course you know it will pick up. but be prepared for more delays if you are headed this way. you can see the sign over there that is telling you about alternate routes and overnight closures at the 29th street will continue for two more weeks. crews are working to repair collapsed drainage pipes and work on erosion that could damage the road. now during the closures, traffic will be routed on to the 28th street exit ramp. drivers can continue left on simson and then go to 29th sleet. once the lowsures are lifted the left lane will be off limits until the $2 million project is completed. this means tuesday through friday the northbound lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on saturday, through may 18th,

now "good morning maryland." u.s. intelligence official broke up a bomb plot to bring down an airline that was reportedly headed for the u.s. and this morning abc2 news linda so is here with details on the foiled plot and where officials found the explosive device. linda this is not new for them. >> reporter: yeah, charley that device similar to a ied is now in the hands of the fbi. agents with the cia seized it in yemen after following a man who hadn't picket a target or bought a plane ticket. a senior administration official says the intended user is no longer's threat meaning the person could be dead or arrestedch the fbi is studying the device that's an improved version of the underwear bomb used in a failed attempt to

signature. more on this at abc2news.com. chrysler is recalling a about 119,000 chrysler 300 dodge charger sedan. there's problem that could cause the antilock brakes and electronics stability control sis tomes fail. in the recalled cars a fuse from the computer controller that runs the safety systems can overheat. probably didn't cause crashes and no one was hurt but they want to make sure you know about this. take the car to a chrysler dealership to have the fuse replaced. phillips is closing doors at the manufacturing facility and distribution center in baltimore. about 100 people will be out of work as a result of the shutdown. the fort avenue location will continue to be the world headquarters for phillips. company officials say this will not impact restaurants or crab deck set is opening this summer at a power plant. select group of mortgage borrowers will get a break. executives at bank of america say they will begin mailing 200,000 letters offering

up. 5 to 15 miles an hour is what we are getting in sustained wind right now. still 8 in easton not much change. baltimore has gone down a bit from the last time i showed you this at 3 miles an hour sustained wind. but we will have gusts up to about 20 to 25 miles an hour. the satellite and radar just picking up on a chalk full of clouds. mostly cloudy skies and you can see the wet weather and showers and couple thunderstorms off toward the west. you can see them in west virginia right now. and also ohio and even into western pennsylvania. some of those could slide our way as we head later into the morning hours and also this evening. but the bulk of it will start to weaken and future trend picking up on that just light rain showers this evening. and then they fizzle out. but, good news i am smiling because they work their way back in here as we go into wednesday. and this is good news due to the fact that the eastern shore is in severe drought right now and looks like they are going to get the bulk of the rain. which is much needed. more sunshine returns in the forecast as we go into
