up. so falls road not a bad alternate route. more problems on the beltway a live look in parkville at buddy hill avenue. an accident on the outer loop right between 95 and bel air road and it will be pretty stop and go all the way up to charles street. as for the west side a live look at liberty road. a lot more congestion in this vicinity. a is a minute ride right now on the outer loop from 795 down towards 95. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic. megan and charlie, back over to you. this morning a legal victory for a man fighting to bring his children home after they were abducted by their mother and taken to trinidad. >> yeah, abc2's sherrie johnson is here with how friends are now rallying to help. what are they doing? >> reporter: that's right it's been a long ongoing battle and friends are stepping in. this morning stan hunkovic is savoring just a small victory after a judge found his ex-wife in contempt of court. another victory, another step closer to his kids gabriel and anastasia. two years ago they were taken

to trinidad with their mother leah. it's an international kidnapping case that hunkovic has battled in the courts since he's been given full custody. meanwhile the legal fees are over $100,000. his friends and family teamed up to plan a bull roast fundraiser to help him out. >> met a lot of great people and people were there to help him and doing all the fund raising stuff for him and collecting. it's going to be good you know. he needs help with all his legal fees and you know it's a shame that it's happening. >> reporter: now the bull roast fundraiser for stan hunkovic 18th from 6:00 to 11:00 at the american legion post in parkvillement head to the website at abc2news.com for more information. that story is on the home page. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. news time right now 6:33. a new jersey couple is upset and confused after they were pulled off of a jet blue flight because their toddler was on the no-fly list. now the couple believes that they were taken off that plane because they are middle

eastern. now they say that the -- they stood in the terminal while the tsa then met with jet blue. nobody could explain to them what was going on. >> the whole -- situation was bizarre. it was completely bizarre. it made absolutely no sense. >> we were put on display like -- a circus act because my wife wears is hi jab. >> they offered no explanation as to why this happened. both are investigating the incident. the new jersey mom may no longer be able to place or go somewhere to get her tan. it was her favorite spot too. planet suntanning salons now banned krentcil from the facility. they are posting her pictures all branches so employees will recognize her and these days that probably wouldn't be that hard. now krentcil was arrested last month for allegedly taking her young daughter into a tanning booth with her. all right, he rose to fame

thank you for joining us this morning. this is your abc2 news to go. i'm megan pringle. >> and i'm charlie crowson. right to it with a busy thursday for you. sherrie johnson is here with oleine reaction from president obama's -- all new reaction from president obama's reaction he supports same sex marriage. linda so is live and lauren has the timesaver traffic but first we begin with your forecast from meteorologist lynette charles. >> good morning charlie, good morning everyone. maryland's most powerful radar is dry right now. we do have all five sweeps on. we did have a band of rain that moved through earlier but that is out of here and we're just left with dry skies and also some sunshine. so speaking of that, look at

right now with temperature the coming in around 51 degrees, that humidity 73%. the dew point well below that temperature so we're not dealing with any type of patchy fog across the area. the winds out of the north at about 5 miles an hour. then we head you over to ocean city where the temperatures is coming in at 54 degrees but the humidity is at 100%. that dew point the same as the temperature so we are dealing with some patchy fog across that area. we look at the camera view here and we can still see patchy fog but sun will begin to rise and even more, wait for it there you go. we have some clouds out there as of now. and we will be seeing more sunshine so this is going to be a great day to go to the beach but also looking at the fact throughout the day your hour by hour forecast brings temperatures close to 70. it's going to be a struggle but we will be seeing plenty of sunshine in the forecast for us. all right, let's get a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren. good morning. good morning lynette. we have several incidents to tell you about. are trouble in anne arundel with a crash along the

northbound lanes of route 295 right at route 198. as well as the harbor tunnel now we have some trouble in baltimore county where a water main break in rosedale shut down king avenue at franklin square drive as you are traveling in the area you want to stick with rossville boulevard. as your alternate route. and out on the beltway a live look in parkville. at bel air road. that outer loop really moving slowly that's all due to an accident actually -- on the outer loop between 95 and bel air road. and here's the congestion at liberty road that west side just going to be jam-packed on that outer loop as you make the push down to security boulevard. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic. megan and charlie, back over to you. 15 minutes away from 7:00. same sex marriage has become an even bigger national issue this morning. >> yeah, this morning we'll have new reaction from a local pastor on the issue we first spoke about an hour ago. abc2 news sherrie johnson is here with some new reaction. >> reporter: president obama is the first sitting u.s. president to take a stand in support of same sex marriage.

in an exclusive interview with abc news' robin roberts he reversed the opposition on the controversial issue. he still believes that states should decide how to handle the issue but he's confident americans will grow more comfortable with same sex marriage. now about an hour ago pastor jamal bryant with a empowerment temple in northwest baltimore spoke out on the issue. >> the african-american community will not be able to sit on the fence. we're really going to have to deal with it and discuss it because the reality is we have a large gay community within our churches and we can't talk over them or ignore them. we have to deal with the issue head-on. >> it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that i think same sex couples should be able to get married. >> reporter: now stay tuned for "good morning america" in a few minutes for the interview with the president. jon john -- sherrie johnson, abc2 news. the man convicted of

fatally shooting an off-duty trooper could be spending the rest of his life behind bars. williams was found guilty of shooting wesley brown in 2010. he worked security at an applebee's in forestville and had removed williams from the restaurant. williams left and got a gun and came back and shot brown. jury deliberations continue this morning in chicago in the murder trial of -- murder trial of william balfour. they delivered their closing arguments wednesday. balfour is on trial. he is accused of killing jennifer hudson's brother, brother and 7-year-old nephew in october 2008. meantime the prosecution in the trial for the former presidential candidate john edwards could be resting its case today. it's likely they will not call edwards' mistress hunter to the stand. it's also unclear if she will be called to testify.

today the charles village pub in towson celebrates the grand reopening. abc2 news linda so is live there this morning. >> reporter: the place has been totally rebuilt. ly find it bigger and better and it housed an outgate door patio and a rooftop deck and later this morning at 11:30, county executive kevin kamenetz will rejoin them for a grand reopening. fire destroyed the pub in january and it was a popular spot for people who live and work around here. after the fire the community rallied around the owners who decided to rebuild. we role got sneak peek inside the new place has two floors and has a bar inside and out. you'll also see some familiar faces too. 20 workers from the original pub are back here. >> very excited for everybody coming and enjoy what we've been able to do here and just een to be able to appreciate and come here. it's a little bit of the old pub and have a lot of the new pub too. very excited about it. >> reporter: and that grandsire

opening is set for 11:30 this morning. live in towson, linda so, abc2 news. you still have time to visit baltimore's basilica. officials say the consultation process has been a bit longer than expected. so now they're pushing back the bidding on construction as well. they say right now work probably is not going to get started until july and it was supposed to kickoff next month. the earthquake last august caused some structural cracks but no major damage. well, the national cathedral in washington will monitor the -- honor the life of rosa parks today. there will be a ceremony and evening prayers song. one of her nieces will take part in the ceremony. parks' statue will join others on the how many rights porch -- human rights porch. are you planning a summer vacation? if so prepare to have plenty of company. especially if you're flying out of town. the industry group airlines for

america or a for a released its summer travel forecast today and the report projects full flights this year compared to last year because of more international travelers. that could make et harder for some passengers to get rebooked if their travel plans are disrupted by weather or other factors as well. well, u.s. casinos are making a comeback from last year's reregistration. jobs are holding steady. part of it is many of the casinos they may be offering nongambling attractions like spas and nightclubs and restaurants. the state of maryland is hoping that the momentum keeps up. it is opening the largest casino at the mills mall happening next month. pulled from his home last october because he was obese now a court hearing is scheduled to figure out what was going to happen to the 9- year-old boy from ohio. now the boy who weighed more than 200 pounds at age 9. was pulled from his mom's care. he is now since slimmed down to 166 pounds after living with an

the day but czech it out in laurel. lots of clouds still hovering and a few peeks of sunshine out there but we see much more sunshine in manchester this morning and that's going to be the scenario basically for a lot of people for today. it's going to be a nice day on tap for us. now we look at dundalk more of the same a little bit of patchy fog. you're beginning now to start to burn the fog off and we're seeing more of the key bridge. but check out what we have throughout today, tomorrow and the next day. plenty of sunshine in the forecast for us and get out there and enjoy it. i know you will. you have been waiting for the sunshine and we are going to see et. now the hour by hour forecast, brings in windy conditions for today. temperatures struggling to get 70 with that northwesterly flow. and as you head out to the game a great day for the game although we will be on the breezy side with the winds out of the northwest at about 15 to 20 miles an hour and that temperature at first pitch will be at 67 degrees rather and here's a check of the seven day forecast for you. as we will continue to be nice

on friday, and saturday, and mother's day, a chance for some more clouds to move in but we should stay dry. temperature close to 80. all right let's get a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren. good morning. good morning lynette. we do start off with trouble in baltimore county. we are dealing with a water main break in rosedale that has shut down king avenue right at franklin square drive. if you are traveling in the area you do want to stick with rossville boulevard as the alternate route. and more problems on 95 where we are dealing with an accident southbound at route 43. and on the beltway another accident checking in and taking a live look here at bel air road. it's pretty packed on the outer loop as you make the push up towards charles street. that congestion unfortunately will continue. on the west side to have beltway also going to be jammed from 795 all the way down to route 40. and if you are using the jfx to get into city expect a slow ride due to the ongoing construction blocking one lane in both directions at 28th street. falls road not looking like a
