claiming she didn't know what was wrong for the child. it didn't take long for detectives to suggest it was the mother who was behind the injuries. doctors found evidence of a swollen eye, bruising about the face and multiple skull fractures on the eight-month- old baby girl. her mother, 23-year-old kay are barker. the charging documents found out just what happened. a live-in boyfriend told detectives he and barker were heroin addicts and the baby was often propped up with a television in front of her for as much as 22 hours. the boyfriend heard four or five loud thumps from the other room and the mother was cursing and yelling. at one point, he claims she said she never wanted to have the baby in the first place and should have had an abortion. parker now faces charges of first degree child abuse and first degree assault. she is being held at the harper

county detention center with no bail. and reporting in harper county, jeff hagueer, -- abc 2 news. detectives also found several pain pills on the floor beneath the crib. the mother would crush up benadryl pills to put them in the baby's bottle to make them sleep. a toddler from prince george's county is in critical condition tonight after she was found in a bathtub full of water. family members found the girl under water last night. they called 9911. the girl's name and age have not been released. it's still unclear how long the girl remained in the water. the victim was walking up pennsylvania aver when attackers walked up to him with a knife. they told him to take out even more cash. detectives are tracking down several possible leads. a jury finds a republican

make sure to and from the prom and the afterprom party as well. dozens of police officers are a bit close tore reaching their goals tonight. the police unity tour is making its way to d.c. as part of police week. it left valley form on wednesday and stopped in this afternoon. the group is made up of riders from maryland, pennsylvania, delaware and several other states. the 275-mile ride raises awareness from police officers who died in the line of duty. and today, washing on the d.c. they unvailed a plaque to honor the nine people killed in that metro crash back in june of 2009. their events in gray and relatives of the victim that first responders attended the unvailinging. the crash was the deadliest in the transit system's history. and just two days, state lawmakers return to anapolis to tie up some loose ends on next year's budget. it was something they couldn't do during the general assembly's regular session. we already know the new budget will include new taxes for about 15% of marylanders. the special session is expected to last about three days and a cost of 30,000 bucks a day.

anywhere. pennsylvania, west virginia, virginia all clear. across the east coast, we are clear from boston all the way down to atlanta, but to the south and west, you do see some cloud cover beginning to edge in to the tennessee valley. this is our next weather maker. and it is a slow move. and i don't think we'll get so much as a cloud out of it until late tomorrow evening, and no chance for rain out of this next system for at least 36 hours. because of this. big high pressure bubble sitting over the east coast. so clouds can edge in unon the west side of these high pressure cells but to the east where we are now directly under it tomorrow. we'll be basking in the sunshine once again. high blue skies are going to be the story with a high sun angle. but as we look to the south and west. yes, slowly developing weather as we move through saturday. this thing begins to edge in and yes the chance of a shower for mother's day later in the day. i think we're fine in the
