now "good morning maryland" at 4:30. thanks for joining us on this monday morning many severe weather hit parts of texas. storms dumped at least 6 inch of rain on houston and turning roads into rivers. harris county east of houston are expected to get more rain this week. and if the rain was not bad enough they are dealing with lightning and hail which knocked out power as well. thousands this morning are still in the dark. i know we still need some rain and some is expected. but how long will it stick around and how bad will it be? >> we will have rain push in this morning. and it will stick around until wednesday. but looking at the big picture and we see showers and thunderstorms firing up around texas. they don't need the rain

and we see the upper 50s in york and hagerstown into winchester. temperatures are well above average. now, we are dealing with the breezy conditions. out of the south at about 5 to 10 miles an hour and that will continue as we go throughout the day. now future trend not picking up on a whole lot in terms of rainfall as of now. but as we go through the rest of the morning, we will begin to see the rain pushing in. so it goes into motion and you will need that rain gear as you go through tonight and also tomorrow morning. so tomorrow morning is going to be a very wet commute. we will see the moderate to heavy rain pushing in across the area. and you can see that in your oranges and yellows and this will continue as we go into lunchtime. today i will say occasional rain off and ongoing throughout the day. tomorrow will be a little bit more steady and then things begin to push out as we go into wednesday as high pressure will build back in across the area. but for today, your hour by hour forecast still brings us seasonable. we should be at 72, 73 for this
