boulevard. roosevelt leftwich joins us with the latest. >> reporter: the child was taken to johns hopkins hospital in serious condition. police say his injuries are serious but thankfully not life-threatening. folks in the area say this is an area that needs cacher ways for children -- safer ways for children to travel. blue water boulevard is a very busy road. several hundred homes and apartments on either side. on busy morning police plef it was hard for the drive to see a 6 crorld trying to cross the street. he was walking to seven oaks, his injuries so severe he had to be flown to hopkins. >> the school took action to reach out to the family and however support to those who witnessed the accident. >> reporter: there is no crosswalk where the boy was

zimmerman the night he is accused of killing trayvon martin. abc2 news has the latest. >> reporter: george zimmerman has always claimed he feared for his life when he shot and killed trayvon martin. now a medical report is out, obtained exclusively by abc2 news. it shows the morning after the shooting he was injured, broke nose, two black eyes and cuts on the back of the head but in zimmerman's doctor's notes he did not need stitches and didn't have a question. there are questions why didn't he seek treatment the night of the shooting and if mar then was banging zimmerman's head to the ground did he need to pull a gun on him. >> if george zimmerman started the all tar cation and loses the fight and fears for his life, he does not have the legal right to

we'll talk about how things change for your black eyed susan and beyond. well, abc2 news as been all over the raid of a suspected pill mill in timonium. joce sterman has been tracking it for months. so how were these doctors able to hand out the prescriptions. >> reporter: they had the patients come in. many came from out of state. they were told to get an mri at a specific local clinic. they bought in these and would ask a limited number of questions, take cash. they didn't take insurance and the clinic was able it give out these prescriptions. it was local pharmacists realizing they were filling a lot of prescriptions and they cried fouled. >> you reported there have been arrests made. what do we know about those running the clinic. >> reporter: there were three

for presidency. >> so what did mitt romney have to say about this? >> reporter: what we know so far is both sides will have a respofnlts mitt romney not happy, no real surprise but the campaign is saying a lot of this is misleading. he issued a statement that sales president obama can't come close to matching the many years of experience that mitt romney has as a private business man. so he has chosen to attack the free market. romney, though, himself is going after the president on the campaign trail. >> this is a tough time and this is not as it was promised by the president. he has been a disappointment at best. it's high time we have a president who will stop the business and borrowing infer know, and i will. >> reporter: there will be a lot of back and forth on this issue from now until november. both campaigns, going after the

lots of red on the board. the dow jones industrial average fell for a third day. the nasdaq down almost 20 and the s&p down almost six. no the job market is still struggling to recover. why the arrival of summer may bring more jobs to cities and towns. >> reporter: temperatures are heating up and so is seasonal hiring. almost 30% of companies are planning on bringing in new workers this summer. at the same time last year only 20% of companies surveyed were in hiring mode.

that has held steady since the economic downturn in 2008. now business confidence is up and that's great news for job seekers because sew -- so what types of businesses are hiring. the four industries taking the lead, almost half of all manufacturers say they'll bring on seasonal workers. the hospital industry will also need help. retail jobs are expected to crop up. it's in the just high school kids and recent college grads that employers are looking for. most say they only one employees or looking to work past summer months and 20% are planning to pay more than $16 an hour. that translates into a full-time salary of around $33,000 a year. >> they guard their secrets like codes to nuclear bombs.

>> reporter: there was nothing quick about it. after a three-hour long ceremony, william lori became the 16th archbishop of baltimore and he is taking on the fight for catholic virtues in maryland. a procession of students carrying the flags of seven area catholic schools led the way as an estimated 2,000 people gathered for the installation of the 16th archbishop of baltimore. william lori will lead the catholics and will begin with a battle anticipated this fall over same-sex marriage here in maryland. >> we are not interested in doing these things for partisan purposes or political purposes as some have suggested. we do believe in a bed rock of institution which is marriage as between a man and a woman and it's for the sake
