43. 4-minute ride from this vicinity to 695. here is a live look in parkville, harford road. an easy ride up towards 83. that's a look at the abc 2 time saver traffic. breaking news this morning out of italy, a 6.0 earthquake struck the northern part of the country in the town of parma killing a person and leaving four injured. a tremor struck the region killing 7 people and destroying or damaging hundreds of buildings in the area. we are getting new reaction in to the death of a towson university student who police say was hit and killed by a drunk driver monday morning in ocean city. this morning, students and faculty at towson university are mourning the loss of one of their own. talking about matthew which chess wick, he died i've memorial day weekend after hit and killed by a drunk driver while trying to cross the

highway. happened monday morning and police say the driver of an suv didn't stop and instead continued. witnesses say the accident followed somebody witnessing the accident followed the suv until police arrived at the scene. >> all i saw was a shoe laying on the ground. i heard it was a hit and run. >> the suspect has been charged with homicide by a motor vehicle while intoxicated and other traffic charges they know includes leaving the scene of an accident. developing story this morning, police are investigating a quadruple shooting in the city on east hoffman street. we got off the phone about an hour ago. he tells us the fourth victim walked in to the hospital to be

treated. the other three taken to the hospital, shot in the and leg and expected to survive. police say one of the victims, a 10 year-old boy. they were sitting outside on the steps. police were patrolling the area when they heard the gun shots. no word on the motive. police are trying to discover information about possible suspects. baltimore city police are remembering calvin rodwell at the el mary school named in his honor. the police will dedicate plaques to family and the school. a gunman killed rodwell in 1973 while he was volunteering. baltimore county officials are trying to track down an inmate who walked out of the prerelease unit on green mount

friday morning. this is germane jeter, he was serving a 10- year sentence. jeter was due for release next year. he didn't show up for his work or job in glen burnie. he does not have a weapon and reached the lowest security level during his time of incarceration. an ultra light plane with a motor and parachute crashed. this happened in cecil county. the pilot tried to land on an airstrip in cecilton when he overcorrected and crashed in to trees. it left the pilot stuck, firefighters had to use the ladder truck to free the man from the harness. police had to pull the plane out of the trees. today is decision day for texas republicans. they are going to decide whether to give mitt romney the 1144 delegates he need to become the gop presidential nominee.

now, good morning maryland at 4:30. . welcome back. remnants of tropical storm beryl still felt this morning across georgia and florida. >> this is video from georgia not far from florida. the storm caused a huge mass, more rain is expected today in parts of florida as well as georgia. we will send it to you, how long is this system going to

linger in the areas? >> it's going to linger for a day oh so and make the northeast jog as the front moves through the area. this is what is happening for today. still a very slow mover, they've received about half an inch of rain in southeast georgia and also northeast florida. through the rest of today and tomorrow, they could be picking up 1-3 inches. lots of rain across the area, they have some flood watches up in effect for the area as well. we are waiting for a cold front to slice through the area. our temperatures will begin to drop as well. let's get a check of the time saver traffic with loren. yesterday was memorial day. the traffic was the headache, how does it look this morning. >> i was stuck coming home from the beach last night. it took me 4.5 hours to get home from ocean city. construction has been finished all lanes re-opened, no delays if you are heading downtown. everything up to speed, but the fort mc henry and harbor, 95

acres, crews brought in two helicopters filled with fire retardant spraying one town. no word on the original cause. unbelievable video this morning out of florida, an 11- year-old girl recovering after falling from a rock climbing wall at a carnival in miami. look at this, the video was shot by the girl's father, see her hit the buzzer at the top of the wall but upon her descent, she falls 18 feet to the ground. this happened saturday. the girl suffered a concussion and recovering this morning at a florida hospital. massachusetts congressman barney frank is criticized for what he said during a commencement address at the university of massachusetts dartmouth. frank said this was his fourth ceremony where he used what he calls a joke to play on words that makes reference to trayvon martin and paying tribute to his friend, jones, who received

began. they were going to get this wedding in come high waters, i guess. >> when they name the storm, beryl, you might have a new no- shows on that. >> the people in the tornado did it last week, then them. the tsunami next. let's talk about beryl a little bit more here, we want to know if it's going to affect us. it's already made landfall. did that yesterday. it has come in contact with land. it's a tropical depression. the winds sustained 30 miles per hour, moving slowly, north, about 2 miles per hour, you can see that northeast turn that it makes and then by thursday, early in the morning we can see it staying to the south of ocean city. that's good news there, we could get high surf, though, no type of real impacts of land wise. we like to see that. it heads on out to sea. not affecting us what solve.
