4:02 pm
this was shot by totallyawesomefishing.com. guys are wayne and graham. s they are in a 90-minute battle with something under the surface. >> don't tell me it is going to be a big old white shark. >> that's exactly right. that's known as a poor bugle shark. a relative of the great white. they believe this thing is the largest shark ever caught in british waters. it is estimated this thing is ten feet long, somewhere around 550 pounds. these guys just tag the shark. the tagging to prove that these guys did in fact catch this thing.
4:03 pm
>> i feel good about this. i was going to get all cranky because you know i don't like seeing big regal animals die for no reason. >> how did they get the hook out of its mouth or just cut the line and leave the hook? so they tore its mouth to get the hook out. >> man, you guys really want to hate these guys. they caught a big shark and they let him go. >> there he goes. breastfeeding, although a very natural thing, often creates controversy. just a few weeks ago the "time" magazine cover of the woman breastfeeding her toddler caused an uproar across the nation. there is a new series of breastfeeding photos that is causing some chatter online. there's one photo in particular that's really creating some negative and positive reaction. this is the photo that's really creating the controversy. >> what's the problem? >> some people say this is a gorgeous photo and this shows the power of a woman, and other

people do say it is a disgrace to the uniform. both of these rim are serving in the air force or air force national guard. now the air force did not endorse these photos. according to an air force spokesperson there isn't a policy stating that you can or cannot breast feed while in uniform. these photos were taken for a breastfeeding support group that's called the mom to o mom breastfeeding campaign. it was started by some military wives in spokane, washington. they hired a professional photographer to take these photos in order to use them to promote national breastfeeding awareness month in august. to find out a little bit more about these photos and the campaign that they have planned, we have the prom coordinator and assistant program coordinator. were you expecting this kind of controversy? >> this wasn't our purpose. we wanted to educate and give moms all the benefits of breastfeeding and obviously to promote it but we had no idea that two end up everywhere it has. >> does that frustrate you at all? >> i think we see it as an opportunity.
4:05 pm
despite all the negative comments there's been more positive that's come from this. >> when you set up the photo shoot and the two women agreed to breast feed in their uniforms, did you ever think that that was going to be one of the most controversy photos? >> we don't see a uniform when they look at that. we just see two moms breast feed their baby. >> what do you say to the opponents? >> i think it is kind of sad. i don't think they realize those two women are real women. i one thing that i am upset, people are comparing it to urinating and defecating in public. >> why do you ladies think so many people have issues with these photos? >> breasts are seen as a sexual tool rather than milk bottles for our baby. when we do it in public and don't use a cover people think we are try tok sexual when in reality we're just trying to feed our baby. >> how are the two military moms reacting? >> they're proud of this photo. here's the latest -- this einstein drives his truck up to

a cash-and-carry, then uses it to smash through the windows of the door. >> seems to be all the rage lately -- back your truck into the store. >> this guy finally makes a hole big enough where he could get through. what do you think he's after? >> chances are the place is closed, there isn't much money inside this place. >> he's after the atm, isn't he? >> he is most definitely after the atm but he is assuming the thing isn't bolted to the ground or wall. >> he has a better chance of stealing that ice cream case full of novelty treats. if this is my store and this guy does this to my store, i'm mad he didn't steal anything. at least take like a bottle of water or something just so you stole something because you ruined my store. >> justify the fact that now he's caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the store. >> he plans the whole thing out, wait until they're closed, back your truck in, smash out the gate, but never thinks to go in
4:07 pm
maybe during business hours and scope it out! >> way to coach the criminals, beth. >> investigators are investigating this and another robbery that they think may be connected. >> just look for the guy with the dinged up truck. >> or the person who is with someone who has an "i'm with stupid" shirt on. when you leave for work, this is not what you want a neighbor to call but. this video shows how a broken water main flooded cars, homes, and garages and basements in the atlanta area. turned his front yard into a river with a waterfall. >> never mind the front yard. look at the nice cars in the low-lying garage area. that is a classic car you see back there. >> one guy says the neighbor called and said, hey, you have a pond in your front yard. the television station said that there were some water services people working in the area but they don't know exactly where and what they were doing, but i have a feeling that some
4:08 pm
insurance companies will be calling the county to find out what exactly was going on and here's the repair bill. >> that looks like chocolate milk. >> angelo diaz who was in the area says somebody called him and said, hey, guy, it looks like a pond is in your front yard. he had no idea what was going on. >> you can almost see the garage door, looks like the bottom is starting to bend because of the water. >> according to the station, seems there was no damage to the house but the basement and the cars filled with water. you guys out on a smoke breaks,-- >> wat out. >> -- a fire truck comes right at them. >> oh, wow. >> find out how this freak accident ends. and regular hd's got nothing on this. the latest tv technology is -- >> that's incredible. >> -- the beautiful photography

consumers today have a legitimate concern about the chicken they eat. they want to know more about how they were raised, what they were fed. we spend a lot of time on the feed because a chicken is what it eats. [ jim ] this seal verifies we feed my fresh all-natural chickens an all-vegetarian diet including corn, soybeans, and marigolds. we actually ask the usda to come check us. we have never fed steroids or hormones and never will. no blood meal, no meat and bone meal. yuck. no animal by-products. it means when you put my chicken on the table, you know where it came from.

when you hear and see the fire truck you expect it is coming to help you, not necessarily hurt you. surveillance video in birmingham, uk, shows two guys out on a smoke break. see them off to the right of your screen? but watch ow. >> oh! wow! >> the fire truck that smashed into the shop they were standing in front of. those guys had to jump out of the way as the truck jumps the curb and smashes into the shop. it was an accident. reports say that the female firefighter driving the truck was trying to make a three-point turn and somehow lost control of this large fire truck. >> the front of a fire truck is pretty wide so it's not like these guys could just step out of the way. they had to like bolt out of there. >> nobody got hurt, some expensive damage to the shop though. truck was stuck there for about three hours while they did the investigation. >> they weren't on their way to the fire, were they? because the fire probably burned whatever it was down. >> reports are that they were on their way to an emergency call. >> hope they had back-ups. >> i hate the fact that it was a female firefighter. i know everybody's going to go, hey, that's why she crashed. >> hey, facts are facts, lady.
4:13 pm
maybe they gave those two guys a free fire truck right around the neighborhood. >> i thought you were going to tell me because these guys were out on a smoke break the fire truck was just going to come spray them with a hose. technology is really pushing boundaries anself-driving cars e road, and they traveled 120 miles. they're only going about 53 miles per hour. >> i just see a future of me some day in my auto drive car sipping my coffee and reading my magazine. >> i can't wait for a day that we don't reference minority report. >> that movie minority report, those little spider robots in "minority report"? >> i think that's awesome. >> you guys know that i have some worries about this thing. is this robot going to be able to react to all the cry zi stuff that happens out there on the roads? >> their goal is to create a safer environment with these cars. >> i don't think this system could be anymore dangerous than some of the doeps we see on the road. >> i agree. but if everybody has a self-driving car, then yes, i feel like it would be the most safe situation we could possibly create. also efficient on the highways. when all the cars talk to each other and are able to go at a specific speed, it keeps traffic moving more efficiently and a lot of these cars can react

report. >> good afternoon. we have breaking news right now, a verdict in the john edwards trial, former presidential candidate facing six counts of campaign fraud up to 30 years in prison and he has been found not guilt oi one charge, a hung jury and deadlocked jury and mistrial on the other five charges. he will not be going to jail, so this was all in connection with whether he took money from friends and associates to cover up his affair with mistress rielle hunter. the jury decided not guilty on one of those counts and did not reach a decision on the others. let me bring in dan abrams. he is not going to prison. they decided oz this one count this was a gift, not an illegal campaign contribution. >> or that the prosecution hadn't proved the case. this is great news for john edwards. john edwards has got to be thrilled. people may hear hung jury, could this mean a retrial, yes, it might. it could. the bottom line is one not guilty count and five hung is a huge win for john edwards.
4:20 pm
now the question is going to be are the prosecutors really going to be able to justify spending this kind of money to bring this kind of case again, the kind of case that many would argue never should have been brought in the first place. >> chris cuomo, 2020 anchor, on this one count it was related to a $200,000 check he received from bunny mellon in 2008, just a week before he suspended his presidential campaign. that was enough for the jury to say, no, it was not related to the campaign primarily. >> arguably the weakest count from the beginning, small amount of money. bunny mel on was more difficult to reconcile because the money went through a middle person. fred baron was the better side of the prosecution case. the problem with the trial from the beginning for the prosecution was these were moral crimes on john edwards. people didn't like how he had behaved. very different than illegality, and many of this case from the prosecution was about john's behavior, john edwards' behavior with this affair. that is not a crime.
4:21 pm
>> and the point of defense made again and again and that no case like this had ever been brought before. >> right, but it is not the argument you can make in front of the jury. the jury was reading very technical legal definition of the law. did john edwards knowingly and willingly do this to influence an election? that became the key question. was he doing this to influence the election? or as the defense claimed just to cover up an affair and what if it was a little bit of both? that became a very important issue that the judge instructed the jury on. >> according to the instructions the judge gave, if it was a little both, that would be enough. >> suspect instruction, i believe the judge here saved the jury by saying, but, couldn't be just a little bit. you really wanted to influence this campaign with what you did with this money, and i think that was tough for them to find and andrew young, so important for the prosecution and so weak on the stand. collected so much of the money for himself and his own gain and really kurt the case. >> quick question for both of you. if you're the prosecution, do
4:22 pm
you bring the case again. >> no, i run away. >> no way. >> thank you very much. once again, a verdict in the john edwards trial. he is found not guilt oi one charge of illegal campaign contributions and the jury was deadlocked on the other counts and the judge declared a mistrial. he is not facing prison at this time. we'll have a full report on world news tonight. follow us all day long on this offer ends june 2nd. unlike cable, fios is a 100% fiber-optic network that delivers america's fastest, most consistent, most reliable internet plus the best tv picture quality. why keep paying so much for cable? switch to fios for just $89.99 a month guaranteed for two years with a two-year agreement -- plus your special bonus: $250 back. save $600 in your first two years. but hurry. this incredible offer ends june 2nd. call 1.877.707.fios. call the verizon center for customers with disabilities that's 1.877.707.3467. at 800-974-6006 tty/v. or visit us online to save even more.
