looking live at dulaney valley road. everything is up to speed. not too many cars but it will be an easy ride up towards 83. and the southwest corner of 695 also going to be clear. there is a look at 259. no concerns. it -- 295. it will remain clear through the fort mchenry tunnel and harbor tunnel. that's the abc2 timesaver traffic. now over to you. continuing coverage of a disturbing crime. >> a suspect made a startling confession to investigators about what he did to his victim. 21-year-old alexander kinyua told investigators he ate his victim's heart and a portion of his brain. he became a suspect when his brother found what he thought were human remains in the family's basement. he spoke to neighbors about what they saw and what they reported during the whole situation. listen. >> 21-year-old son the one they accused of murdering he was out with a machete trimming bushes

and then later that day, he walked down the street right down the middle of the street with a pot. >> we have learned the victim is a graduate from morgan state university. the suspect was a former student there. it's a:33 and the victim -- 5:33 and the victim of another brutal crime was remembered and we have new reaction from the man's mother. it was a candlelight vigil for darryl augustus ii who was found in a burned truck but police think it was a cover-up to murder. victim's mother says despite all of this, she doesn't want anyone to be sad. >> he wouldn't want us to be sad at all. he was full of life and bubbly. and i am overwhelmed with joy at this turnout. >> the suspect is a person who found augustus with his ex- girlfriend. ellis turned himself into police thursday. today a young man is remembered matthew chesswick

killed on memorial day will be laid to rest. the 22-year-old howard county man was hit and killed by a suspected drunk driver. he worked at mary weather post a zillion and attended towson and will be remembered at one this afternoon and the burial will follow at. police in anne arundel county are investigating a stabbing in a laurel bar that happened last night. police say two people were stabbed and it happened around 7 at the starting gate lounge on fort meade road. a third person the suspect was hurt when witnesses tackled him to keep him from running away. former penn state assistant football coach jerry sandusky is asking for the criminal proceeding to be delayed. he face as trial next week on charges he sexually abused 10 boys. the superior court online docket indicated he filed a petition for review but didn't explain what he was seeking. he also asked the court to seal the document. and today a hearing will be held in a perjury case against

two former penn state officials accused of lying to the grand jury about the sandusky child sex abuse allegations. attorneys for the former athletic director tim curley and former vice president gary schultz will both be in court today. in the case of trayvon martin the confessed shooter george zimmerman has a hearing on a motion for protective order for discovery where they keep the information and evidence sealed until trial time. it's scheduled for 1:30. a texas mom will probably not receive the mother of the year award any time soon. >> where this woman was found and what police found her doing as she was asked do leave the tattoo parlor. -- asked to to leave the tattoo parlor. >> you can see the image on this mold. a family says they can and why they feel it's a blessing to have the image there. >> and friday is here and many of you have big plans. but if you are outdoors you might need a plan b. i will have details coming up. >> reporter: no delays on the south side of 95.

maryland." around the nation a dangerous ride home for some commuters in detroit. look at the water. this is thursday a water main break flooded the freeway closing lanes in both directions. it's a veries abouty highway. cars were stranded -- busy highway. cars were stranded and they had to wade out of it. water department crews were working to stop the flow. in texas a mom faces charges after she was found passed out in a parking lot of a tattoo parlor. now she was turned away from the parlor for being drunk. and inside the car were a number of bottled beers and prescription meds and a woman's one-year-old daughter. police say get this, the woman was pregnant and also on probation. check this out. the pictures are incredible. the story of the day. an alligator came within inches of a catching a bobcat in tampa florida. a neighbor caught it on camera. the gator emerged from the pond and zeroed in on the cat and moving closer and closer and the neighbor says he thinks that. >> wait for it.

rare inborn heart condition that can be passed from one generation to the next. >> you're like a walk time bomb because you never know when it's going to hit. and with the kind we have, it is a lot of people die in their sleep from it. >> reporter: yes we. she said genetic testing years later showed olivia had it too. and like her mom, she would need a defibrillator the rest of her life. >> i was scared honestly. i don't remember it too well but i remember crying. >> reporter: and the tears flow as the 16-year-old thinks of the classmates who make fun of her heart disease and her implanted device. >> they don't know. they can't tell. unless i tell them and then some are like oh my god i am sorry and others are like what? and then it's like huh huh. >> reporter: no apologies she is a ballerina who one day hopes to be a forensic scientists. olivia loves to bake and wants to go to culinary school.

everybody out and about and they have to deal with patchy fog across the eastern shore. only about 5 miles of reduced visibility there one in salisbury and fog in ocean city. and we have some wet weather to talk about. but not in dundalk. we are looking at mainly cloudy skies right now. you can see the key bridge back there. that's always an indication of something good not dealing with any type of patchy fog across the area. but we are looking at temperatures comfortable in towson. 57 degrees. this is where we should be now for this time of the year. 57 in ellicott city but then we have the warmer air in edgemere at 69 degrees. more of the same in stevensville and 64 along the eastern shore in centerville and 62 right now in galena. good morning to you. all right let's get down to business because the satellite and radar picking up on the clouds i showed you, a few showers in virginia and a big line of showers back out to west virginia. that's the line that will begin to move in as we go into the afternoon. and we could get some severe

weather. so the severe weather setup we have a warm front that's going to traverse the area and we have the warm moist humid air mass that's moving in and then we have an upper-level low that is spinning and then that cold front that is going to trigger the thunderstorms. so we have the biggest threat will be hail large hail gusty winds and lightning and possibly an isolated tornado as we go into afternoon and evening. we will be here to teem you update and safe in this situation. the future trend picking up on the showers and storms that will begin to move in mainly around 4. you are going to have a wet commute this evening and wet weather will stick around. you might rant to change the plans going into the evening and wait to do it saturday evening because it looks drier and calmer. hour by hour, 82 for today. the thunderstorms will be popping and here's 7-day forecast for you. as we will remain seasonable going into time with the slight chance for showers on sunday. let's check of the abc2
