now abc2news at 6:30. >> we begin wait the devastating story. an 8-year-old boy shoots and kills his brother and police say it was an accident. abc2news talked to the boys and has the latest. >> reporter: the 8-year-old boy walks us to the place he mavis it often where he last saw his brother alive. it is a few steps from his home. he didn't want to say anything but he showed us where police say he shot and killed his brother, 11-year-old michael zoning. >> it went off and hit him in the head. >> reporter: abc2news will not identify the 8-year-old because of his young age and because he will not be charged.

the brosser were out playing in the woods around 7:00 saturday morning when they took a handgun from a secured area of arn elderly neighbor's property. they helped him with yard work. >> we were hearing that he heard a random shot in the woods when he saw his brother fall after being hit. >> a two-hour search led detectives to a gun hidden in the woods near the scene. it was later determined he shot his older brother accidentally. >> he died before they got him up there in the helicopter. >> the boy sat with his held down and held the family cat, us b the four-year-old sister was anxious to remember her brother. >> he took me fishing and i found the big one. >> it will be a tough road for the grandparents who have custody of the 8-year-old and rosy, mikey lived with the other set of grand parents

nearby. their mom and dad are both in jail. >> may god be with us. there are no plans at this point to charge the boy. well tonight police are investigating a fight that turned deadly here in the 1200 block of lafayette avenue. they found the 42-year-old in pretty bad shape. according to police there was an argument between madison and a woman. she got her brother involved and that is when things got physical. madison was stabbed several times in the back. he was taken to hopkins but later died. they are presently in police custody and charges are pending at this point. and now to the latest on that scary severe weather that tore through maryland and surrounding areas. the national weather service says nine tornadoes touched down on friday. strong winds downed trees and

heavy flooding flooded several roads and there was a dramatic rescue as they had to help cars stranded in the flood waters. >> a tornado touched down in west moreland county. it up rooted trees and damaged several homes. crews are working there to restore some of the power there tonight. >> the national weather service is still surveying the damage. pleasant hills and harper county got hit the hardest. two were injured by the twister that uprooted trees to the tune of about $1 million damage. they left a trail of destruction through the counties. kelly, those wind speeds with those tornadoes between 80 and 110 miles per hour. we're going to do a blog and explain more about that. we have an act of radar right now. most of the storms toward the north, severe thunderstorm warnings on the pennsylvania

now he will have to rehabilitate it. this right here is video of a 19-year-old mother in the hot seat of allegations she left her baby's car seat on the top of the car. the baby tumbled off and landed in the middle of this phoenix intersection. >> the car seat was to the side so no one could tell. thank god they stopped. >> she was high on marijuana. the car seat was damaged but the baby is okay and he is in the care of social services tonight. she is under arrest charged with aggravated dui and child abuse. well tonight fans are mourning the loss of richard dawson, the longtime host of family feud. he hosted that family feud from

we're going to show you is not really producing much in the way of the severity levels we saw with the friday storms but we're seeing these hugging between the maryland pennsylvania line so there could be a quick wind gust with these and dangerous clouds to ground lightning. here is a planner through 8:00. showers and storms, 72 degrees. we'll clear everything out around 11:00. tonight going down to 56, back up to 61 by the drive time tomorrow morning. on the radar, you can see the line of showers. these storms will hang across the county line, maybe even see if this will hold together. lightning certainly on the table with these storms and maybe a wind gust, not seeing any tornadic activities. that is good news. because of this upper level low, it is throwing back this piece of energy that is coming downstream.

that is triggering the showers and storms and keeping temperatures pretty chilly. the real heat, you ask? it is down to the south and west. 90s to near 100 here. we'll tap into this next weekend but still going to expect the clouds and cooler temperatures. for tomorrow going into tuesday, the clouds, showers will be on the fable. then those temperatures that will remain between 68 and 73. future trend doing a good job on this overnight. clouds, showers and then a pinwheel of moisture coming through with a scattered shower or storm and then rinse and repeat going into tuesday with cloudy skies and a chance for a shower or storm. future temperatures reflecting the clouds tonight will bow a beautiful night. 62 in the city. 50 in the outlying areas. tomorrow 70 will be the deal and the same trend going into tuesday with most spots between 70 and 74 degrees. >> for the rest of the evening north and west of town, just a
