the beltway. once you get on the beltway this is what it looks like at harford road. just an 11-minute ride from the 95 to 83. the inner hoop will be nice and clear. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic. now over to you. >> history made in wisconsin. a hotly contested recall vote for the state's governor scott walker was not nearly as close as pundits expected. republicans survived for theouster. linda so is here with overnight reaction. linda. >> reporter: governor scott walker celebrated his big win in front of a crowd of supporters. he beat his challenger tom barrett by a 53-46 margin. now that the election is over, walkers says he is focused on the future and getting back to his work as governor. walker had to fight to keep his job after voters petitioned for his removal. he fired up unions after successfully stripping away the bargaining rights to balance the state budget. big name republicans and democrats poured millions into the race. some believe the race has

and the doctors told me the situation, it kind of took something out of me. >> the doctor who treated her at johns hopkins has gottenpersonly involved putting together a computer system for her to communicate. he is working to get something more advanced. he set up a website for donation and you can find a lind link at abc2news.com. occupy protesters attempted to stop a woman from being evicted from her home in d.c. the protesters went out against u.s. marshals are the intend of evicting the woman and her mom after the apartment was foreclosed upon. they formed a human shield tied the front gates shut and used plumbers pipe to erect a barricade. within minutes things turned violent. >> it was crazy. i've been to a lot of protests, this was the most blood i seen at a protests. >> this is an eviction butler says is illegal because she has an agreement inform they -- if

they fix up the house they don't have to pay rent and invested t250,000 dollars and she is staying in hotel with plans to fight the eviction. we are getting an up close look at a school bus crash in indianapolis. look at the video from surveillance inside the bus. you can see the driver hitting a bump and is thrown from the seat. he clings to the steering wheel as the bus veers but it slams into a garage and he is thrown into the stairwell. you see it unfold. fortunately, no kids were on board at the time and police say no one was seriously hurt in this crash. well, can you spot what's wrong with the picture? it's obvious if you ask me. police pulled over a mom during a seat belt enforcement campaign last week. and this is what they found. a gas can strapped into the seat next to a toddler wearing a lap band. mom and 14-year-old in the car weren't wearing seat belts. driver was cited for three seat belt violations. an ohio high school runner

casino opens tonight so we dispatched megan pringle for preview of what's going on. it's loud there. >> reporter: all right. if you can hear me, we are at the maryland live casino. i tried the slot machines and no go yet. but it's going to be a different story tonight when the doors officially open here. take a look around because the place is spectacular. we are talking about 3200 slot machines and this is just phase one. when phase 2 opens up which will happen in october, it will be a total of 4700 slot machines. and since we are talking numbers, let's slow some at you. that is 500 million dollar casino, 330,000 square feet employing 1500 people. so this is huge foran arundel county. and it's only going to get bigger. now again, the doors open at 10 tonight. that's the only number you probably care about. and again when the doors open the place is going to be packed with people.

morning. look at the 40s. 44 degrees middletown. jefferson 48. 47 westminster. and 46 in towson right now. and we are looking at 49 in hickory. northeast right around 48 degrees and then we see the low 50s from chestertown to middletown and goldsboro. the weather pattern well we are in between two systems right now. the one up towards the north the upper-level low and we have a system down to the south that's going to be bringing them the possibility of some severe weather. and for us today, an isolated shower i don't think we will see any severe weather whatsoever. and future trend picking up on the fact that high pressure will build in here as we go into friday and i think you will like the weekend. but today's temperature around 74 degrees. and here it is. no more waiting here. as you like that hot weather, i have it in the forecast for you lauren. as we go into sunday, and possibly monday, and maybe even tuesday we will keep a chance for scattered shower to move into the peckture as we head into tuesday. let's check of the abc2
