after the traffic with lauren cook. good morning. accidents out there and lots of congestion. yes, lynette well fortunately a crash has just cleared from the southbound lanes of 95 at shell road but you want to watch out for the construction that is planned for june 20th. the department of transportation's having a press conference to officially announce the project later this morning. so beginning june to the. the southbound -- just south of the toll plaza just one lane and that will continue through october. so you do want to use the tunnel toll plaza, or the key bridge as your alternate route. if you are using the jfx to get into the city no delays it will be nice and clear from the beltway all the way downtown. and that will be the same case on 695 as we check in and take a live hook here in towson at york road. everything up to speed and a nice easy ride as you make the push up to 83. and the west side also in great shape. litable bit more volume over but here in significant delays as you travel from 795 down to 95 and you can be the first to know about breaking news, weather and traffic just

case with the man charged in his son's death. sherrie johnson has the reaction. >> reporter: well, charlie we are here at towson university on the campus here. this is where matthew cheswick was a student. now his father chris cheswick spoke with abc2 news in an exclusive interview and we have new reaction from him. basically matthew was killed along coastal highway and ocean city more than a week ago hit by suspected drunk driver who tried to get away. his dad says they called his son smiles because of a grin that lit up a room. chris has a collection of bails but there's one special one that has a special meaning. the one signed by matthew. chris tells us that matthew loved sports and these days chris has to try to move on with his life even though it's missing something so huge. he still remembers the night he got the horrible phone call and the heart break, it was 4:15 in the morning. >> she said twice, matthew's dead. matthew's dead.

well, there's a -- lynette. it has shut down jarrettsville pike at manor road. use old york road as the alternate route. south in baltimore county we're dealing with another accident. right in sparrows point and it's on the intersection of north point road at sparrows point road. and the department of transportation they will announce a new construction project on 895 later this morning. it won't start until june 20th but it will reduce traffic to just one lane south of the harbor tunnel toll plaza and do expect heavy delays. it's going to continue through october. use the tunnel or the bridge as the alternate route. more problems on 695 with an accident on the outer loop at liberty road. traffic really going to be moving slowly in the area. and unfortunately there's no roadway leaf in the parkville -- relief in the parkville area. harford road that outer loop will remain slow all the way up to charles street. all right. well it began with man tight
