how do moms make that decision every day? >> i got rid of the candy and put two bowls of fruit on the table. i stopped buying the cereal with the sugar on it. the doctor wanted to put them on medication because they were so hyped up. comes out it was the sugar they were intaking. when i lowered the sugar, they were normal kids. >> i've always known that sugar is not a good thing to have in mass quantities, that it's a special treat. that's how we treat it in my house. i bite small mini cans of soda, rather than the big cans. i don't think real sugar is the problem. i think fake sugar is the problem, causes cancer. the high fructose corn syrup turns directly into fat.

if you can avoid that which is in typically the processed foods, you're better off eating straight sugar in small amounts. >> giving chicken instead of hamburgers and carrots instead of oreos. it's not really scientific or complicated, just common sense. >> what happens with sugar is sugar takes you up like you're flying on a rocket and bring updown hard. i'm telling mothers to eliminate the amount of shoring sugar in a -- of sugar in a child's diet. >> making healthy choices is not always ease circumstances specially when it comes to fruit juices and whatever else is on sale. we're joined by a dietitian to continue this conversation. we're talking about how this is extreme in terms of banning it. but at least people are talking

about it. >> if you look at a labor, nutrition facts labor under carbohydrates, it lists sugars with an s. it doesn't differentiate between naturally occurring sugar and added sugar. if you want to be an informed consumer, you may have to look in the ingredients to see what added sugars might be in there. a lot of times people see sugar and think oh, it's all bad. milk there's naturally occurring sugar, lack -- lactose and in fruit there's fructose. netiond are listed by freedom nafnlts what's in there the most is listed first. there could be multiple types of

a toddler hanging from the side of a building in china. the child slipped through the

railing of a fourth story building. the neighbor from the apartment climbed out and helped push the child into the railing but it was actually the toddler who pulled up and got back inside with no help. that is frightening. >> check this out. a michigan man got busted on a joyride in a motorized wheelchair. the chair was stolen and the man driving it was drunk. the man's blood alcohol level was three times above the limit. these robbers were preparing for a clean getaway but got more than they bargained for. the owner tossed them over the counter. one of the thieves got away but police said the other be-- had the other behind bars.

a big day tomorrow for two families in harford county. they will be presented keys to two homes built by habitat for humanity. today the final touches will be put on their home. >> reporter: while they're planting shrubs and establishing roots, another is dog a filing walkthrough. her job transferred to maryland in 2007 and she found herself

homeless at one time. for four years she has done volunteer work for volunteer susquehanna. >> the pride that they put in like it's their own house is really wonderful. >> reporter: this blitz build is done by habitat for humanity susquehanna and their partners, 30 other local contractors volunteering their time and materials to build these duplexes for these deserving families. >> we build homes for a business and we get to see that smile when people are closing on signing on the dotted line on the end. this is a notch above the rest, that special feeling of completion and building a beautiful home for a family. >> we do almost all of our work

millions of passed words from linkedin or eharmony profiles have been hacked. we have more whroon the site is -- on what the site is doing to protect users. >> reporter: eharmony and linkedin have been hacked. analysts said it's possible more passwords were affected. linkedin was using an outdated form of encrypting. linkedin said it recently put in place enhanced features. in the meantime users should reset their passwords. eharmony recommends creating passwords with at least eight characters, using numbers and symbols. make sure you change it every
