professor and the president of the university of baltimore. residents in penn north will get together protesting the closing of the parkview r- ec center. this is one scheduled to closed on wednesday per the mayor's plan to make room for construction of more state of the art centers. community will rally against the closure beginning at 3 on francis street. we have an update on a water alert in oweddenton and crofton. abc2 news spoke to public works official who is say they would like people to conserve water at least until 7 this morning. crews have been working to fix water main break since yesterday afternoon. the problem is with an underground walter main connecting a well -- water main connecting a well and a treatment plant. tonight the city council is expected to move forward with the bottle tax. >> amount bc2 news linda so -- abc2 news linda so is live with what it could mean for your bottom line. linda. >> reporter: if it passes, it means you will pay 3 cents more

for your bottled beverages. city council will move it forward for a vote tonight less than two years after the city approved a 2 cent bottle tax. mayor says the extra money will pump 10 million dollars into school repairs. but city retailers say it will hurt their business. bill has been held up in a council committee but tonight council members who support the plan to vote to bring it out. council president young says he is switching the vote because the marrow poses his budget plan and says he plans to vote no. >> there's things i agreed to support like the bottle tax and i have a right to reexamine my position and on the botet tax i will be voting no. >> reporter: and the mayor spokesman says even without the council president's support the measure has enough support and enough votes to move through a final vote on the measure will come in two weeks. live at city hall, linda so, apartment bc2 news.

baltimore city public safety workers are hosting an event to raise safety awareness among elected officials. it will take place at the baltimore city training academy beginning at 8 this morning. those attend will go go through the daily challenges of the physical and mental stress placed on recruits. and tomorrow the commander in chief will be in baltimore. the president barack obama is skied ualed to hold a campaign -- scheduled to hold a campaign event. new this morning, an arrest has been made in connection with the body found in early may behind windsor mills elementary school. police arrested this man kyle williams. the victim is 18-year-old quintin poindexter who was found shot to death behind the school. a woman walking her dog found him early in the morning. and police are hoping security cameras will lead to a robbery suspect for a second time. the holland ferry 7-eleven was held up by two masked mense.

and crews in colorado struggling to contain a massive wild fire. these images came in overnight. so far, the high park fire destroyed 20,000 acres near fort collins. thousands of people have been asked to leave their homes. >> i imagine my house is there -- dish can't imagine my house is there. for how close the fire was and now i am not going to have a home. and i have no place to go. >> the authorities say the are stroking the flames. they are not sure what started the fire. now time for a check of the forecast with lynette. >> that is such a sad sight and doesn't look like they will see showers or thunderstorms across the area this morning. maybe some showers and thunderstorms a little bit this evening. and speaking of the thunderstorms, we do have the severe chance across the southern part of the nation also the middle part of the nation sliding off towards the east. but we can zoom in right now because the only thing we are

thoughts. >> police say the shooting doesn't appear to have anything to do with some of the players and the victims being former players at auburn. leonard faces multiple counts of capital murder. creflo dollar defended himself to his congregation after being arrested earlier in georgia. officers arrested him for a battery family violence and child cruelty but dollar says he didn't hurt his 15-year-old daughter. >> the truth is she was not choked. she was not punched. there were not any scratches on her neck but the only thing on her neck was a prior skin abrasion from eczema. anything else is an exaggeration and sensationalism. >> i have a 15-year-old daughter myself and if she needs disciplined that's what she will get case dismissed. >> police say dollar's daughter
