businesses are blaming the fire department saying it took 15 to 20 minutes to get to the fire, but the fire department said the initial engine arrived two minutes after the call came in. >> more disturbing testimony in a pennsylvania courtroom where jerry sandusky is on trial. today victim number one, an 18-year-old who just graduated high school, sobbed as he described the first time that he says sandusky performed a sex act on him. he said he was 11 at the time. former penn assistant coach mike mcqueary also took the stand and said in 2011 he saw sandusky standing up against a young boy in a school shower and heard a skin smacking sound. police in anne arundel county, fire officials are warning people after a bottle

well, president obama campaigning in maryland. people paid anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 for tickets. that included governor martin o'malley, senators cardin, mi cull skip and mayor stephanie rawlings-blake. there were street closures. it let -- led to backed up traffic. traffic was jammed up this afternoon. let's go to roosevelt leftwich to see if things have cleared up. >> reporter: we' getting into the normal rush hour which is heavy but a little heavier than normal because of the presidential visit. you can seat traffic right here. south charles street was closed for awhile along with parts of light street. all the traffic had to be

redirected. heavy trucks had to be redirected off of light street. it was a big mess as far as the trucks having to move all around into different parts of the city. what you have here now is a combination of rush hour along with folks coming down watch the orioles and the pirates. it's very heavy rush hour but things are moving. traffic is getting in and out of town. the best thing for a lot of the motors, the closures are back open. it's a matter of getting through the traffic. you can see it's still heavy. we'll have more at 6:00. roosevelt leftwich, abc2 news. >> yesterday downtown this was that big black cloud of smoke. that huge fire chased firefighters out of the building when the roof began to collapse. back at the seen cleanup is women underway and businesses

are singing praises and thankful that the fire didn't do anymore damage. tim rutherford has the story. >> reporter: walking past the fresh food store you might not have noticed that the building was engulfed in flames less than 24 hours earlier. out front only the boarded up windows told the story. in the alley out back, however, the damage done was clearly evident. buzz disci brewer live -- buzzy brewer lives here. >> there was the intense heat. the flames and heat. >> reporter: the five-alarm fire proved stubborn for firefighters. >> basically we used massive streams of water to do the west we could dpo. we covered all exposures around the building that was exhausting flames. >> reporter: the cause is still under investigation. city building inspectors are due

raise the retirement age. the social security add help strags is already cash strapped. it's paying out more in benefits than it takes. to combat that, the retirement age has been slowly rising. it's currently at 66 after sitting at 65 for decades. it's scheduled to reach 67 in 2022. raising it to 70 could reduties the administration's cost and extending it could boost the economy because people would stay in the workforce longer but not everyone may want to work that long, especially those in physically demanding jobs. >> did she say 70? oh, my gosh. this program has been around sense tween but very few people have taken advantage of it.

a 30-year-old hiker had a close call when he stumbled on to a brown bear cub and its mother. been had only a backpack when the mother bear attacked him. he managed to get to a stree

tree -- tree and clem out of -- climb out of reach temporarily. >> i can hear it huffing in the tree. >> when medics got to him, he had a huge wound. he was taken to a local hospital and is now recovering at home, counting his blessings. an inmate in a kentucky courthouse holding cell made a break for it and the whole this morning was caught on video. officers was trying to get another man out of cell when the man charged the door. now he is facing attempted escape and assault charges. incredible video in florida. nonstop rain. you can barely seat car a teenage driver was behind the wheel when he got disoriented and actually turned into standing water.

he and the passenger barely managed to get out of a back window before the car was completely swallowed. firefighters in colorado are still working day and night trying to get control of that deadly wildfire. these pictures were taken off the campus. authorities are still trying to pinpoint the cause of the fire but believe this may have been started by lightning. all right. take a look at radar pictures out there pretty active weather, not the same weather they're having out west, here, very wet. you can see a significant amount of rain. harford county you had some of the highest rain totals. still quite a bit of rain on parts of the eastern shore. closer look, you can see heavy rain surging through. across through perryville and

perriman and elkton, looking at wet conditions there, and also looking at some clearing to the west but, again, more heavy downpours. right now is current conditions showing 72 rat bwi, 100% humidity, reduced visibility right now, about 40% of what we normally see. look at bel air where we had wet weather conditions on tap through most of the day and significant downpours at time. dundalk, wet weather. tough to see the key bridge even. take a look at the bay bridge. downpours. at times we lose visibility as the fog thickens up. tough to see the upper spans of the mighty bay bridge. coastal flood advisory is up for the western shore. that's coastal harford through coastal calvert. we're expecting enhanced high tide of two feet toward 2 a.m.,

so be advised of that, especially in anne arundel. humidity levels are around 100%. 10 miles would be unrestricted. we have that in frederick and d.c. but not so much in the noter northeast -- northeast corner of the state. tomorrow we bounce back. this, of course, is where the blue angels will be flying overhead. by the way, for saturday and sunday, the weather looks good. sunshine, maybe mid-80s, in the bad. we're getting the rain out of the way. the front pushing through. that will usher in dry air. so more rain showers for the evening. we could still see heavy rain for the eastern shore lou 5, 6, 7 a.m. -- through 5, 6, 7 a.m.
