anne arundel police are warning you about bottle bombs. the latest happened monday when two teenagers threw a bottle bomb at a 6-year-old girl on a play ground in pasadena. don harrison is working the story. >> reporter: these bottle have become popular on youtube. in 2011, recount recount fire investigators d--- anne arundel fire investigators have handled several cases. you can buy them at any store by themselves. they're fine. when you mix them together, not only is it dangerous but illegal. >> it's a felony in the state of maryland. it's the manufacturing of an

>> we will let you know what to do if you see a random bottle. if it looks like a normal one with soda inside, trash. it if you come across a bottle that looks swollen, leave it alone and call 911. the school is backing off from one of the toughest polys. the school has voted to take out the zero out of zero tolerance. that leaves principals to use their own discretion. the misuse of cell phones is one where leniency may come into play. >> it was a category one, which was suspendible, tend it still -- and it still is suspendible under category one. our hope is we think there's a better alternative than suspended a kid for the use of

cell phones. >> some fractions may no longer merit a suspension. on average last year one out of 10 received a suspension. the mayor is urging youth to have a safe and responsible summer and be mindful of the curfew laws. if you're under the age of 17 you're not allowed oud -- out after midnight or on weekends. >> we will not tolerate unsupervised juveniles late at night in any part of baltimore. >> now the city department of social services, they're all participating with the curfew center. it will be open friday and saturday beginning this weekend going through august 11th.

four wreck centers will shut down for good at the end of summer camp. up to 10 more may have to close as well. a hazardous materials team had to be called out for what turned out to be a prank. they were called to havre de grace school. there was a bottle filled with urine. a male student put it in the hallway of the school. officials say he confessed. it was meant to be a last day of school prank. the teen was charged with rep sennation of a destructive device and reckless charges. days have the "good morning america" anchor robin roberts announced another health battle, it's having an effect on all of us in and outside the breast

cancer community. >> reporter: myelodysplastic syndrome or mds is one of the worst side effects from breast cancer treatment. it's one of the rarest. only a few hundred people out of thousands get it. robin roberts' announcement remind many people of the long road that cancer survivors need to take. there should be two lessons. one, cancer survivors have to keep good tabs on their health and people should register to be bone marrow donors. >> without a transplant would not be curable. we now have drugs that can affect remission but can't cure

it. a stem cell transplant can actually have the potential to cure this disease. >> reporter: now in robin's case her sister is a perfect bone marrow ma. even roberts said she's lucky because bone marrow treatments are not easy -- to find. since she made her announcement, more than 3,000 people have joined the bone marrow registry. the baltimore 10-miler has gotten such a big following that they're starting to change things up. kelly swoope joins us with more. >> the race has gotten so popular that they had to change the starting line to get more runners in the race. it's all for charity. runners from all over the area will be lacing up and running to benefit the signal 13 foundation, the family trust and girls on the run. girls on the run is a nonprofit program that focuses on building

-- voter's election. baltimore county police have identified the man found dead in a car last night in parkville. they now believe he was murdered. police say they got the report of a man sleeping in a car on mopex circle. when they got there, the man was dead. he had been shot multiple times. the car he was found in did belong to him. the motor was running and there was blood in the car. they're not sure in the murder happened where they found the car f you have questions, you're asked to call baltimore police. a porn shop in havre de grace was robbed. a man walked into jackie's intimate boutique on pulaski highway. he showed off a gun and demanded

if you shoot calendars, today was your day. >> you think of the inner harbor as there's a lot of tourism. it is an active port still but maybe not active in the way it was in 1812. to sew the tall ships come in, it's a flashback of the days of old, one of the many, so just a fantastic time to head downtown. 78 degrees right now. again, just really, really nice weather. that is our deal, and we're going to continue to see temperatures slowly cooling off,

mountains. winds are gusting to 20, 25. low humidity with a breeze. 80 doesn't feel that warm when you have those conditions. offshore we continue to see the weather maker. moved offshore this morning and stalling out. so it is possible it will retrograde, and -- and that could mean the possibility of more hit and miss showers. as we take a look at the overall pattern, dry mild conditions, yes, but humid conditions offshore helping to fuel that, as it sits there as it does a little spinning, the possibility that some of the cloud cost back into the state. so maybe tomorrow a mix of sun and clouds. not as brought as today but bright conditions come back on friday and we're sitting pretty once again as we head into our
