lynette charles with a perfect forecast yesterday. >> yesterday we had sun/cloud mix and more sunshine. today we're going to have a sun/cloud mix with more cloud cover i believe. so we look at the headlines and it's going to be a tranquil thursday. you can see dry with some -- some clouds, mild and comfortable. we do have a northeasterly breeze as we go through this morning and also as we go into the afternoon. what's happening right now in towson the temperature coming in around 62 degrees. lock raven tech and the humidity 74% and the dew point 54 and we are drying things out a bit. then chesapeake beach with the temperature coming in at 68 degrees, the humidity 83% and the dew point 63. the winds out of the north northeast at about 20 miles per hour. we see chesapeake beach there. sun trying to rise and then it's up. we see some cloud cover out there and also some sunshine so this is what we're going to be dealing with for today. that's get a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with

lauren cook. it's been a busy morning and we have trouble up in harford county with a crash? jarrettsville. it has shut danishesser road at furnace road. crews are work to be remove some of the -- working to remove some of the fallen power lines in the area. another crash on route 24 at osborne parkway. 95 though no concerns from harford county all the way to baltimore county where traffic is just picking up in the white marsh area. no delays though to the beltway. as we heck in and take a live look at the harrisburg expressway, in northern baltimore county everything up to speed. not too many cars out here just yet. a nice calm ride from swan road on to the beltway. no delays here at harford road. 11 minute ride on the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic. charlie over to you. well, if you want beauty history and a slew of ships,

morning. about 10:30. so it's going to be a fabulousest mean for -- experience for anybody who comes down here and just walks around and meets some of the young sailors, these kids who come in from all over the world. the indonesians are on a transit all the way around the world. a whole circumstance navigation this year and it's the ship's last voyage. there's a story on every one of these ships. the indonesians have their own marching band -- any marching band from a high school or college around here and they have a great spirit on board. when the ecuadorans come into town, they -- all the cadets line up on to deck and they sing their national anthem. it's beautiful song. in spanish of course. and there's a little pause and then they sing our national anthem. the "star-spangled banner" this was of course composed right here and it brings a wonderful tingle to your spine to see the tribute they come here to pay to us. there's a lot of little stories here, anybody can find a lot of

and good morning to you. it is now 6:39. and a break-in at the home of rapper kanye west. the "l.a. times" reports all this happened yesterday morning. the 4200 square foot home is currently on the market for nearly $4 million. authorities are trying to determine if anything was stolen. west is out of town wrapping up the european tour with jay-z. do you remember the young actor who played the mine knee darth vader on last year's volkswagen super bowl commercial? max page is that man and today he's undergoing heart seasonal. he will have a -- surgery. he will have valve replaced. this will be the young man's eighth surgery hi in seven years and expected to be hospitalized for less than a week. all the details on that more on that coming up. well, last month he nearly fell trying to tight rope walk

and southbound lanes shut down for a number of hours. and abc2 news sherrie johnson and don harrison are live just miles from the scene and i understand we have new developments just in the past minutes. >> reporter: that's exactly right. i just got off the phone with maryland state troopers. the names of the drivers, first off kelly whit. 25 years old of pasadena. she was going the wrong way driving is hyundai. and she was from pounced dead at the -- pronounced dead at the scene of o the crash. she ran into 54-year-old gold of glen burnie. he was flown to shock trauma. that crash happened this morning at 1:30 in millersville a mile south of the ben field road exit. again, one person killed at the scene. that's 25-year-old kelly whit of pasadena. another person 54-year-old jean

our national flag. now the very first flag has 13 stripes alternating between red and white and also 13 white stars on a blue background representing what the congress called a new constellation. well, a columbia woman is facing multiple counts of animal cruelty charges now expected in court today for a motioning hearing, they found 40 dead animals in elizabeth's lindenau's house in december. they had no access to food, water or any heat. same sex couples who work for washington county can now receive spousal benefits that move comes following the complaint on the behalf of the county employee named william taylor. he married his partner in 2010 and then asked to have him placed on the health insurance benefits. that request was denied. the county disputes that claim and those changes go into effect next month. and tonight, diners at the hilton in downtown baltimore

will feast on everything but they can't use their eyes. this is the dining in the dark event raising money for the foundation to fight blindness. guests will eat in total darkness for 30 minutes. the former governor bob ehrlich and going to be honored tonight. well, today marks day four in the jerry sandusky child sex abuse trial and this morning, abc2 news linda so has more and this thing is moving faster than what people originally thought. >> reporter: we have learned that things are moving along more quickly and the prosecution could be done by tomorrow. more alleged victims expected are expected -- are expected to take the stand today. when he was just 11 years old sandusky pulled down his pants and performed oral sex on him. the witness now 25 testified that sandusky threatened him saying he'd never see his family began if he told anyone -- again if he told anyone.

the coach later apologized and told him he loved him. victim number american testified the former coach used to rub his nipples and put his hands in his pants and now repulsed by chest hair because of the contact with sandusky who used to press up against him with his bare chest. under cross-examination victim seven was asked why it took him so long to report the alleged abuse. he said he wanted to block out the negative memories. >> and he -- confronted things and took him a very long time, very long time to process. >> reporter: so far, five of the ten alleged victims have testified. two of them are not expected to take the stand. again more witnesses will take the stand later this morning. linda so, abc2 news. nine minutes before 7:00. and five things you need to know on this thursday. the suspected auburn shooter making his first court appearance today. desmonte leonard is facing three counts of capital murder

damage. just how pig those things are -- big those things are. >> exactly. i have a golf ball in my hand and that's how large the hailstones were. so this can do a lot of damage. there you go tom. all right, what's going on i crass the nation -- across the nation because in texas this morning still dealing with some thunderstorms in that area popping you. the southern plains could get hit once again with some severe weather. also we're looking at minnesota and also wisconsin. that is under the gun for some severe weather today. now closer to home, we're not going to be dealing with any type of severe weather whatsoever. we have some clouds out there this morning, all this is courtesy of that area of low pressure in the atlantic right now. that's going to spin back a few clouds as we go through the morning and also the afternoon. you can see for yourself in bethesda a little bit of a sun/cloud mix but for today we will be seeing i believe more clouds than we will be seeing sunshine. temperatures this morning, are on the mild side. but chillier back across the north and west with the temperatures in the 50s. we have to check out the
