morning house fire that has shut down clackston at reisterstown road. traveling in the area you want to use quantico as your alternate route. no one has been injured in this fire. if you are use the -- traveling through the fort mchenry tunnel or harbor tunnel no delays but major construction begins tomorrow on 895. you will want to stick with either the fort mchenry or key bridge as an alternate. as far as the northwest corridor is concerned, here's a live look in white marsh many no problems to report 4 minutes from route 43 to the beltway. and in parkville at harford road foggy in this vicinity. traffic is starting to peck up but you are looking at an 11 minute ride from 95 up to 83. that's a look at your abc to time -- 2 timesaver traffic. police in dewey beach are searching for a person of interest about the death of a woman in her hotel room. the woman's body was found monday morning and state place say it's theton's first homicide. -- it's the town's first whom

side. sherrie johnson joins with us more. >> reporter: police in delaware are investigating the case as a homicide. a woman was found dead in a hotel room on monday morning. police are investigating the case and detectives released this picture of this man officers say he is a person of interest they want to talk to. police stood guard outside the room at atlantic oceanside motel where the body was found. officers say a housekeeper discovered the body monday morning. it's unclearity now if anyone else was in the room. -- unclear right now if anyone else was in the room. it's a popular summertime destination especially for college students and young adults. >> we never expect that to happen very ode for this town that gets busy in the summertime. generally people are down here having fun. >> reporter: the victim's body was turned over to the medical examiner's office to determine the official cause of death. so far, authorities have not released the victim's identity. sherrie johnson, abc2 news.

news time 5:32. commissioner fed bealefeld is stepping down after working for the baltimore city police department for 31 years. last night abc2 news was there and took final stroll through the streets he swore to protect and served. >> reporter: back in 2007, nobody thought we were -- nosh we were the out-- we were the outside long shot but demonstrated we -- demonstrated we could do it and earned the job i think we built a solid blueprint of focusing on the most violent offenders and i won't miss the opportunity tonight to talk about the bad guys with guns. and for five years that's been the rallying cry of who to focus on first. i urge the people watching to care about the city and the state to say don't abandon strategy that works. you have to invest in prioritizing your resources and instead of locking everybody up and i'll ating the community,

of india. will be released today from jail after serving 20 days for a 30-day sentence. he was convicted for using the webcam to see his roommate kissing another man in september 2010. days later that roommate tyler clementi threw himself to his death off the george washington bridge. the 7-year-old boy who played a mini darth vader in the volkswagen commercial is resting at home this morning following heart surgery. his name is max page whose ad was played during the superbowl and he says he feels great. he does feel a little chest pain, he said that he is excited to have a milk shake. he was born with a heart defect that affected his pulmonary valve. after a number of measures to preserve that valve, doctors replaced it last week. the kid is so cute. >> he is. you seen his darth vader moves. >> i love it. you may have have a complaint against a bank that issues you a credit card unbeknownst to you. >> this morning a online data

now "good morning maryland." it's 5:40 an online data base goes live today that list complaints about credit card companies. you will see other complaintspeople have filed against any bank that issues credit cards and you can see how banks have responded. today the base doesn't include any personal information and it was put together by the consumer financial protection bureau. teachers across the u.s. will share and review each other's lessons plans online. american federation of teachers union announced this today and plan to create what's known as

isheading to france. so their journey for the sailors is not over yet. it's been a wonderful seven days in baltimore. live at the inner harbor linda so, abc2 news. today is juneteenth known as freedom day. or emancipation day honoing african american heritage but commemorating announcement in the abolition of slavery. it is recognized in 41 states and they are plans to introduce the measure to the senate that make it a federal holiday. well new orleans area baptist preacher is make history. he is going to be becoming the first african american president of the southern baptist convention. a significant achievement because the religious group endorsed racial segregation for more than a century. the southern baptist convention formed in 1845 boast 68 million predominantly white members. you satisfied with the service when you travel? a poll by the american consumer satisfaction index shows hotels and restaurants do a good job but airlines not so much.

restaurant service 51% of the poll and hotels ranked 41%. airlines ranked 4%. wow. experts believe the addition of fees played a role in the poor score. low cost airlines like jetblue and southwest tend to do better than the area competitors. time for more sports. the o's continue inner league play in new york. they ran into a buzz saw monday night and the gimme's -- guy's name was ra dickey. they picked up right where he left off against the o's. he struck out 13 giving up just 1 hit again and another one hitter on the way to a a- 5-0 shut out. baltimore was not bad on night who gave up 4 runs on 6 hits and that's a result of a grand slam. but that's not a bad night. you spec the o's to re-- you expect the o's to rebind bound. a one hitter back to back. >> crazy.

temperatures are coming in in the 60s basically everywhere this morning. we are looking at upper 60s in arnold and also bowie. and the mid-60s in chestertown and sparrows point and northeast good morning to you. you are right around 65 degrees. now the moisture the big story this morning yes, we are in the 60s here so with that we are feeling that humidity increasing and it will increase more as we go through the next several days. so we have a not so pleasant time coming up. so we have the visibility issues this morning especially around salisbury and 3 miles there. looking good in easton baltimore and dc but 6 in york. 5 in hagerstown and three in winchester and 7 in culpepper. this is the system that's going to be causing problems for us if you are somebody that doesn't like the heat and humidity. this will begin to work its way in here as we head into tomorrow. the temperatures are going to hit 90s. future trend not picking up on a lot in terms of the wet weather. but we will start to dry things out as we go through the next couple days. in the meantime, though, today

starts the warming trend coming in around 86 degrees. and as we check the 7-day forecast for you as we are 96, 98 and 92 but we feel like we are in the triple digits. let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. >> reporter: as you mentioned, we are off to a rany start and we have a crash to tell you about in frederick. it happened on interstate 70 along the eastbound lanes atpatrick street. looking at other main lines in anne arundel county. interstate 97 is nice and clear at 695. no problems if you are using that towards the beltway or traveling south down towards route 50. as we pull up drive times heading out to the west side of the beltway 11 minutes on the outer loop from 795 down towards 95. the traffic is just starting to pick up in the area. and if you are use the jfx to get into the city it's going to take you 11 minutes from the beltway all the way downtoto east fayette street. and heading out to 95, no problems northbound from the beltway to the fort mchenry tunnel toll plaza. that takes you 8 minutes. that's a look at your abc2
