going to be dangerous heat over the next 24 to 48 hours. we are going for a forecast high of around 97 degrees. but watch this at 11. still into the 90s. on the way into the 70s. and it's a triple digit heat for tomorrow with the humidity feeling like it's 110 degrees. we will show out7-day forecast coming -- be you the 7-day forecast coming up in bit. let's show you a check on the roads. >> reporter: a lot of problems on 695. an accident on the south side right on the outer loop and on the west side another crash is really causing heavy delays as we check in and take a live look at liberty road. accident is on the outer loop here. so you want to expect a lot of delays traveling from 795 all the way down towards inner -- interstate 70a15-minute drive. this takes you 6 minutes and expect heavy delays and there's bel air road traffic is starting to pick up. but just a 12 minute ride from 95 toward 8 3. and if you are use the jfx to get into the city, everything is nice and clear southbound from the beltway downtown to east fayette street you are looking at an 11 minute right.

that's -- ride. that's the abc2 timesaver traffic. >> reporter: howard -- a howard corned -- howard county teen is in critical condition after being shot. police say 15-year-old -- the 15-year-old was found in the field by someone living nearby. he was flown to shock trauma and police suspect foul play. they don't have a suspect or a motive. closing arguments could happen as soon as tomorrow in the case of jerry sandusky. >> the sex abuse trial. >> the big question and what people want to know whether or not sandusky will take the stand. linda so is tracking the latest. linda. >> reporter: we have learned he is ready to testify but the decision won't be made until the defense calls the final witnesses today. yesterday, sandusky's wife took the stand and told jurors she never saw any inappropriate contact between her husband and his accusers. she says several of them would sleep over and her husband would be the one to go downstairs to say good night. defense tried to poke holes in the police investigation suggesting troopers

east fayette street. there's a cargo ship coming in to the port of baltimore so the bay bridge will be temporarily shut down at 1:15 and key bridge is going to close at 3:15 and they are again just temporary closures and they will last for about 40 minutes. now we have a check in we can check in with sherrie johnson who has an update on all the construction that is set to begin on interstate 895 later tonight. good morning how's traffic looking out there. >> reporter: good morning. right now we are at fort mchenry toll plaza and over here basically traffic is starting to pick up a little bit. and you know what? in the coming weeks we will see even more congestion major construction begins tonight at 9:00 on interstate 895. this means traffic headaches during rush hour and drivers are urged to avoid use the harbor testimony through the end of summer. crews replace concrete decking on a bridge south of the toll plaza. roads crews resurfacing a 5- year-old bridge. that will -- 55-year-old

today. michael yobson is the ex- boyfriend of phylicia barnes sister and she was visiting from north carolina when she disappeared. her body showed up four months later in the susquehanna river. flags will be at half-staff for a special tribute that is happening for sergeant julian chase. the 22-year-old was killed in afghanistan supporting operation enduring freedom. the governor has ordered the u.s. flag and the maryland state flag be flown at half- staff at all state buildings and those in anne arundel county. chase died on memorial day. tomorrow friends and family will pay respects to ben boniface who died on his family farm monday. ris station is thursday in abington. it will from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9. a mass will be held for ben friday morning at 10:30 at st. joan of ark catholic church on law street in aberdeen. police in annapolis charged a 34-year-old man with a rape of a 13-year-old girl.

officials say that a woman called police on saturday to say her daughter had been sexually assaulted. alexander lara has been charged with rape sex offense and assault. he is being held on 2 million dollars bond. officers say he knows the family. new this morning, people in germantown are on high alert after break-ins. police are looking for suspect believed to be connected to 23 burglaries. that person is going into unlocked cars and stealing garage door openers and will go into the home and rob it. in most cases the homeowners are in the house when the robberies take place. >> that's terrifying. my roommate and eye are -- and i are there. >> that's brazen to have the guts to do that while you know people are at home. i am hoping that it's kids. >> take a look at this because a personal camera did capture images of the suspect. you see here right now the police are trying to figure out exactly who that could be.

teen drug abuse is climbing in the state of maryland. >> linda so is here with the staggering numbers and which drugs are being abused the most. linda. >> reporter: according to state datate number of teens for -- data the number of teens for treatment for oxycodone is dropped. and according to the maryland alcohol and drug abuse administration, those drugs are easy to find and they are more likely to be abused. lisa low's son saharawin addict and she spent the last three years trying to get him in rehab and she founded the heroin action colation a. group trying to raise awareness about teen drug abuse. numbers shows most teens will relapse once after rehab. that's why she wants more funding for long-term care. >> we are here consumers of what we have in maryland and we are here to tell you ait doesn't work as well. >> numbers show in 2010 thousands of maryland teens
