unconscious. he within the a block to the west, lafayette fire station. the engine and medics were out on a call but the crew were in the house. they went to the apartment and found the man's son not breathing. they revived him and took him to the hospital. they said if it happened two weeks from now, the man would have had a problem. >> the elderly gentleman had no phone, no way of getting in touch with our 911 dispatch fire house. this is why all units need to be here. he had his only way to get help for his son, to come knock on this door felt no one is lansing on the other side, i don't think there's a way his son lives. >> reporter: the city said truck 10 and two fire companies are on a tight budget but they say

start to move. downtown baltimore, brian kuebler, website -- abc2 news. >> john's attorney expects to push the date back. just after 7 last night police said someone called in and found a boy lie fling a nearby field with a gunshot wound to his head. they discovered the teen lives in baltimore county. the teen is still in critical but stable condition at shock trauma. while his identity is not being released, investigators are offering a $2,000 reward. anywith information call -- anyone with information, call the police. he is under arrest charged with murder. this was june the 12th when

it was a giant ship that caused a giant problem. look at this. transportation officials stopped traffic as this massive ship carrying four of the largest cranes ever built passed and the bridge. i mean, just made it. let's take a live look. it's not too bad. as the night goes on backups may form as the road crews start the work of resurfacing the tunnel. the maryland transportation authority is wanting -- warning all of us about the possibility of major backups. school's out, summer is officially here. what about hitting a trail. lamont williams hit a trail. it isn't hot and sweaty but cool and refreshing. >> my grandfather came and worked as a share cropper.

not a lot different. dew point numbers, 72 in easton. anything over 56 is incredibly muggy. so it's heat plus muggy feeling like 105 and 103 in disk. you get the idea this is sticky and hot. the heat isn't the only thing that happened today. we have this massive crane ship passing over the chesapeake. look at this from the eastern shore from heming way. watch as it moves toward the bay bridge span here, one, two more shots for you. you get an idea why we had to stop traffic. i mean, low tide only for this. unbelievable close call there. across the region right now we're clear. nothing more than a hit or miss shower toward virginia. it's a big heat bubble sitting over the carolinas that will float there. so we'll keep the heat pump on

the back side. the hot air coming out of the deep south. look at new york. the heat index there 100. we're not hottest part of the u.s., very, very steamy conditions. the cold front is on the way. it will provide our relief and will not get here until mid to late afternoon friday. we're talking about this line of storms eventually crossing the midwest through the day tomorrow pushing into pennsylvania. by the time we get into friday, yes, this front will arrive and begin to give us a break from the heat. overnight mostly clear and muggy. 100 at the airport. the city is likely to go to 103 and 104. the heat index value is likely to be 110. 77 with an evening storm. that main line does not get in here until late day friday. as a result, we'll drop temperatures friday into the oh,
