public pool, so what does management think about that proposal? we'll fill you in on this friday, june the 22nd. good morning, maryland. thank you so much for joining us on this friday morning. it was a roaster yesterday. so everybody wants to know what's happening this weekend. >> well, i think it's going to be a cooldown. still 90, but we lose the humidity and it feels great. it's hard to believe it's 90 degrees but yesterday it hit that new record. 1923, guys, we tied it. so there you go. we put a record in the books. dundalk is showing the clouds out there this morning, but still again a steam bath. 81 degrees right now. but it's the humidity at 67% making it feel very uncomfortable across the area. 86 degrees right now in the inner harbor. annapolis at 82. down towards d.c. land, you're at 83. so a very sticky morning out there. you can see the clouds on our satellite picture rolling in. so it's not going to be the full-on sunshine that we saw yesterday afternoon. we are going to see the clouds out there, at times a peek or two of sunshine that will help destabilize the atmosphere and

that destablization will allow for scattered showers and gusty thunderstorms. it looks like 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon from 95 on points west and you take a line from 95 on east, gusty showers and storms come in between 4:00 to 8:00. we'll talk more about your forecast coming up in just a little bit. let's talk traffic with lauren cook. >>reporter: good morning, mike. if you are using 95 in the white marsh area, no problems to report whatsoever. you are looking at a 15-minute trip southbound from the beltway all the way to downtown baltimore. once you do get into the city, watch out for all the ongoing construction on 895. it's going to cause a pretty significant backup later this morning at the harvard tum. right now nice and clear. but as the day does progress, you might want to stick with the fort mchenry tunnel or the key bridge as your alternate route. as we head out to howard county, this is exactly what it looks like at interstate 70 at colombia pike, everything up to speed make forg a nice easy road over towards 695. this is a look at the southwest corner of the beltway at route 295. everything up to speed. no problems to report all the way up to 83. that is a look at your abc 2

news time saver traffic. jurors in the jerry sandusky trial continue deliberating today. they were sequestered so they don't know that one of sandusky's adopted sons has come forward saying that he was abused. abc 2 news sherree johnson joins us with more this morning. >>reporter: jerry sandusky's fate now rests in the hands of 12 jurors as they return to court today to weigh the prosecution's arguments of child sex abuse. we've learned that matt sandusky, one of sandusky's six adopted children says that jerry sandusky sexually abused him. he was also prepared to testify for the prosecution but never got the chance. yesterday the jury discussed the case for more than eight hours before coming to a close at niep:30 p.m. the jury asked to rehear testimony of mike mcqueary. he was the one-time graduate assistant who reported seeing sandusky assault a boy in a shower. they also want today rehear testimony from a doctor who testified that mcqueary gave him a different account of what he saw. many wonder why matt sandusky was not called as a witness.

sources close to the case say matt was waiting in the wings in case sandusky decided to testify and then matt could be used as a rebuttal witness. >> you put a witness like that up on the witness stand, they are open to strong cross examination because of prior inconsistent statements. first you said you weren't, now you say you are, which one is the truth? >>reporter: jerry sandusky has pleaded not guilty to 48 charges. if convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison. sheree johnson, abc 2 news. news time 5:34. consumer news today, asian stock markets they fell today as 15 banks received a ratings down dr. parikh grade, all of this happening yesterday. bank of america, goldman sachs and jp morgan chase among others saw their ratings cut by the agency moody's. this comes amid concerns that the global economy. moody's says the banks' significant exposure and risk instigated the actions. here's how it could affect you, a ratings cut makes it more expensive for banks to borrow

5:45. thanks for joining us this morning. there's no doubt about it, it is painful to watch, cell phone video of middle schoolers tormenting a bus monitor. it's gone viral and it is disgusting. but the 68-year-old grandmother on this video says she does not want those boys to face criminal charges. and sherree johnson is here with more. >>reporter: well, megan, yes, it certainly is tough to watch. this cell phone video of middle school students taunting a bus monitor in upstate new york has gone viral. the 10-minute video begins with bus monitor karen cline in her

seat -- in the back seat of the bus surrounded by a small group of seventh graders. the boys tell cline, their 68- year-old bus monitor for the green central school district in upstate new york, she's so fat she'll probably die of diabetes. there were also physical attacks as well. cline sit there is in silence, hardly engaging the kids. the most hurtful comment came when they said she didn't have a family because he killed himself. cline's son committed suicide about 10 years ago. the it was recorded by another student on that bus. >> they won't do it to anyone else. they thought they were so smart, so smug. wipe the smile off their face. i cannot see pressing criminal charges. >>reporter: now, the kindness of strangers is actually pour -- pouring in. a canadaian man has started a drive online to give karen a vacation. he's hoping to raise $5,000 and so far he's raised more than

million between 2007 and 2010. that brings the total number of adult children living at home to about 16 million. smokey robinson wants to improve the world and he wants to do it through social media. the singer started a new initiative. it's called smoke alarm. here's how it works, we'll give you an example, if a country has a food crisis, robinson will tweet it and his celebrity friends have agreed to then retweet it, so they'll all post this on facebook and james franco, eva longoria, elton john, for example, they've already signed on. robinson says the smoke alarm will be used no more than three times a year. the department of public works has one exee singing the national anthem at the orioles game against the nationals tonight. stephanie walker was the big winner. she's a recycling program associate who's worked with the department for 13 years. she's been singing since she was a child and has sung in both the church and school choirs. first pitch tonight 7:05.

>> i just believe that babies should look like babies. you know, it's a whole different culture out there. >> i guess so. i'm old school or just old. >> i like the old school fashion. here's what's going on, bel aire, not a bad shot out there this morning. you can see some sunshine peeking through the clouds. we'll get a little sunshine out there. humidity is still in place, but it is a cooler -- at least a cooler daytime high later today. look at the inner harbor, 86 degrees, 82 in annapolis. georgetown checking in at 68. here are the clouds that are coming in, streaming in from west to east and that's going to bring in the chance of some scattered showers, perhaps a gusty thunderstorm during the course of the afternoon. we're into the 90s, on the way from 93 as the daytime high. so hot and humid conditions. there is a chance for some of those gusty thunderstorms. in fact, the storm prediction center say maybe some of those become severe during the course of your afternoon. the storms will continue through tonight, ending about midnight for the eastern shore. we'll go down to 68 degrees. here is your exclusive seven- day forecast, let's get you going for the weekend, it's a
