well, the price of gasoline has been dropping this year but apparently not fast enough for a pair of anne arundel employees who allegedly helped themselves. jeff hager has this story tonight. >> it takes a lot of gas to fuel the mowers as well as anne arundel county's playing field. who would miss the gallons? the county did. the maintenance workers behind the scheme are now charged with the theft. >> the two employees were taking fuel from fuel sites and using it for personal use. >> reporter: using surveillance cameras and witnesses at various fuel stations like this one in mayo and investigators determined that 44-year-old preston perry of -- >> all right. we're having technical difficulties but the county is

morning america" anchor robin roberts put on a good face for the need for bone marrow donors. kelly swoope is back with more. >> weeks after robin's announcement that she will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant, her colleagues are rallying around her. employees from "good morning america" and abc registered with be the match to be bone marrow donors. they want to show support, contribute to the cause and prove to people who are thinking about doing it all over the country that the process is really easy. >> i just wanted to donate, see if i could be a match. >> we want to do everything we can to help thousands of families across the country looking for that lifesaving marrow match. >> robin is one of the lucky ones with a sister who is a perfect match for her but that only happens about 40% of the

likely to have breast cancer than women who didn't exercise at all, proving that it's never too late to start after menopause. they also cut their raise breast risk. a federal health advisory panel said people or overweight needs to get intensive council. the u.s. preventive services task force is putting the pressure on doctors to send obese patients to a health program and part of that requires counseling. it will focus on whole life improvement, setting goals, nutrition, education, and talking to someone about their strategy for success. what remains, if adopted, will insurance companies cover it. a baltimore city jury has come back with a verdict against johns hopkins hospital in a medical malpractice birth injury

case. two years ago a couple were at home with a mid-wife and their son with a mid-wife. rebecca was taken to johns hopkins in an ambulance. she says she was expecting an emergency c section. it did happen but only have the two hours. her son ended up being born with birth defects. >> i don't know what was going on in their brain and i don't know what was going on behind the scenes and i don't know what was going on with other patients, but whatever it is that went wrong internally or in their mind, i hope that it was at least a wakeup call or a learning experience, and that it doesn't happen again. >> now for their part, johns hopkins medicine director said they sympathize with miss fielding's situation but are

stunned the jury find for the plaintiff. they strongly deny the allegations and miss fielding's complaint and continue to believe that the medical care provided to fielding by hopkins was appropriate and that the standard of care was adhered to in her case. they're going to go on to slay that they will appeal to the maryland appellate court. well, we are not being affected by tropical storm debby yet, but two young men in ocean city had to be pulled from the water earlier this week because of the water. officials said they fell off their boat after a strong current. >> the current was between one to two knots, which was pulling people out toward the ocean. very hard conditions. >> well, coast guard officials said both of the teens were wearing life vests and were treated for shock, but they are expected to be okay.

ocean city only has some wild currents, so you have to be careful. gertrude jones from baltimore, you get an abc2 storm umbrella. we forecast 80 today. that's what we hit at bwi. here she is, tropical storm debby. so what's all the hubbub, it's not a hurricane. that is flooding rain. get this. 10 inches of rain, additional inches of rain possible. isolated parts of north florida could see a storm total of two feet, 24 inches of rain, two feet of rain. that creates serious flooding. where is debby headed next? giving florida a break by thursday at 2:00. you have travel plans after thursday. this looks improved at least.
