>> there's no question in my mind that that sole custody request is a bomb shell. >> at least you would have to convince a judge that joint custody would be somehow harmful to the child. tabloids are already speculating scientology may have something to do with it. holmes was raised a catholic and converted to scientology before she married cruise. >> kind of suspect that's one of the reasons that katie may have filed for divorce and asked for sole custody. i don't think she really bought in 100% into the scientology. >> we may never know. new york, divorce is a private matter. in california, it's part of the public record. which may explain why holmes filed there. >> this year alone, there have been several high-profile breakups. katie periand russell brand, j. lo and marc anthony.
