>> there's no question in my mind that that sole custody request is a bomb shell. >> at least you would have to convince a judge that joint custody would be somehow harmful to the child. tabloids are already speculating scientology may have something to do with it. holmes was raised a catholic and converted to scientology before she married cruise. >> kind of suspect that's one of the reasons that katie may have filed for divorce and asked for sole custody. i don't think she really bought in 100% into the scientology. >> we may never know. new york, divorce is a private matter. in california, it's part of the public record. which may explain why holmes filed there. >> this year alone, there have been several high-profile breakups. katie periand russell brand, j. lo and marc anthony.

road of heroin and alcohol addiction. >> do you have regrets about how -- >> i regret my daughter just passed away. i suppose i could have handled certain situations better than i did. >> it's been more -- >> mitch is also a singer in a similar style. he was in new york preparing for a gig when his daughter died. >> how we got home, i don't know. how we got back, i couldn't tell you. we got to the house. and those people -- i couldn't tell you what it was like. the hundreds of people, my family and friend were there. it was beautiful. i knew that tifs going to make it. because of all these people. >> mitch is now written a book, amy, my daughter. >> set the record straight. >> she set the record straight. >> mitch insists amy had been clean of drugs for three years and was controlling the
