4:00 pm
hello, everybody. i'm beth troutman. happy monday to you. thanks for watching "right this minute" where we're all about videos first. it's trapped in one of those metal tubes and encased in concrete. it's -- >> aw. >> a kitten. you can hear it crying. >> this video claims the
4:01 pm
concrete kitten is a warning in a religus site. that's a ea behind the camer o the edge of a volcano. she's down gettingmazing shots of this volcano and it is erupting as she's doing it. >> see why she's chasing volcanoes. this army is showing off its mad parade skills. see if they fall like dominos. and there's this guy. five stories up. >> he's going to jump. that's crazy. this next one is really going to make you probably cry. it was really hard for me to watch this. an animal rescue in colorado city, arizona. the posts you're seeing are shade structures. andrew is constructing this shelter. inside one of those metal tubes
4:02 pm
is a kitten. >> the cat is now stuck in the concrete all the way up to its head. >> you can hear it crying. andrew had to cut the post. then they had to dig out this footing. they had to cut the metal pipe off the cement, and then chip the kitten out of the cement. he was able to chip out and get it to an animal rescue that afternoon. the man who rescued this kitten believes that the fundamentalist church of jesus christ of latter day saints, or flds, could be behind this act of animal cruelty. andrew left the fundamentalist church of jesus christ of latter day saints 13 years ago on his own accord because he says he wasn't happen with the changes that were going woin tithin the church. >> we've in the past have experienced a lot of hostility from the flds. there was a message sent to
4:03 pm
isaac wilder to try to intimidate him. >> you're saying you believe that this was a message sent by the flds church to isaac? >> correct. it's been going on for years and i've recorded up to a dozen dead cats put into his horse corral. i've recorded dead animals being put in his truck. >> so you're claiming that because you are outspoken against polygamy, they are being cruel to animals in order to make a statement? >> correct. get out of town. we don't like you. how else would you take the message? >> when you talk to the police, what response did they give you about this kitten being stuck? >> he kind of chuckled and laughed a little bit. then he said, well, if it was up to him, het throw dirt over it. >> what? >> this is coming from a city marshall that's in the flds
4:04 pm
church. >> how was the cat after you got him out of the cement? >> it eventually succumbed to its ordeal. >> we made several calls to the marshall's office of colorado city. all of those calls went unanswered. we also reached out to the flds and did not hear back from them either. we're well past the fourth of july, but the videos of fireworks mishaps keep rolling in. this time from auburn, washington. video was obtained. you see fire in the foreground -- that's actually an unmarked police car that drove over a still smoldering lit firework. in this video you also see other vantage points of this fire from other police vehicles that were also there. you're seeing their dash cams. police were called to an indian reservation because things were shooting off fireworks and
4:05 pm
things were getting out of control. one of these unmarked vehicles, a ford taurus, drove over this firework and caused fire. what was left of the car. you can see the thing is completely gutted. >> was this the grand finale of the fireworks show? >> they believe that maybe some flares that were in the trunk of this ford taurus contributed to the fire and made it even more difficult to put out. you can imagine, the taurus was a total loss. the police officer wasn't injured in this thing. i got to think the officer who toasted the taurus is getting ridiculed at the department right now. other cops in the shop are probably just like, dude, come on. >> you know what? it was an accident. he was going to do his job and stuff happens. i mean they wreck their cars in high-speed chases. this is just another form of wrecking the car. >> or maybe this is just a lesson -- don't shut down f fireworks displays on fourth of
4:06 pm
july. this is a surveillance video of a wine bar in hattiesburg, mississippi. the robber used a wrauth iron chair to break through the glass door. just then walks through the bar. >> it is a b and e and the b and e. >> they're asking for it! >> they were just following the sign. >> that's true. they were following instructions. really well, if you asked me. it took them no time to break that door. jump in, walk around, and get away. >> it looks like a really nice place and he is not dressed appropriately to be in that place. >> what did he do once inside? >> the owner did say that some alcoholic beverages were missing so maybe that's what he was after. no realist of what was actually stolen. >> he went in to seriously have himself a drink. >> sounds like it. >> it is a very interesting robbery. the only thing that was reported missing were some beverages. >> mohopefully somebody recognis him and turns him in because
4:07 pm
they are still looking for him. >> the interesting thing about this story, this happened on tuesday right before midnight. at 6:30 the next morning they believe some random person was walking by, saw a broken door and decided to also enter. they just looked around and also left. they are looking for that person, too. >> they didn't do any of the "b." they just did the" e." this is video of a volcano chaser. when i first heard that term, i was like volcano's, they're -- they're mountains. but a volcano chaser is a photo journalist basically who goes in to the volcano when everybody else is running away. >> now in this video you see a volcano chaser, his name is bradley ambrose. he decided to bring along his 9-year-old daughter who is now being called the youngest volcano chaser. that's molly right ain the sou
4:08 pm
pacific. dad loves being a volcano chaser around his daughter molly was studying volcanoes in her class and dad decided to take his daughter on her first trip overseas. they're from new zealand originally. and this is what he decided to do. >> where did he find a 9-year-old size bunny suit for her? look at that thing? that's awesome. >> hopefully in the future when we go on further expeditions she'll be able to come. >> she gets in there just like her dad would and she's down getting amazing shots of this volcano. this volcano is erupting as she's doing it. >> she's actually getting shots herself. >> that's her! >> yes! >> oh, wow. >> that's just cool. this is a lot cooler than like the baking soda and clay volcanoes you make when you're her age. >> this is way cooler than any field trip you could have possibly taken in school.
4:09 pm
>> oh, my gosh! boring building turned immersive show. >> the whole building looks like it is transforming. >> see it for yourself. a skateboarder showing off some tricks. then something happens in the background. >> oh, no! >> but -- is it real or fake? >> i say real. >> ouch. yeah. >> real or fake time. later. [ dog growls, barks ] bring your dog to work day... not our best idea. [ barking ] george! stop it! stop. oh.

4:13 pm
>> that's awesome! >> this whole production was put on by a company called moment factory. it is about an eight or nine-minute show. they use multiple hd projectors, surround sound systems, state of of the art theatrical lighting. we bring different people to atlantic city, not just casino builders. >> if you're just walking on by -- >> what a great way to spend a friday night walking down the boardwalk, ocean breeze in your hair. then you get to see this -- and it's all free. you guys saw the guard ceremony at buckingham palace, you thought that was cool? this is cool. this is a parade in belarus but look at the synchronized performance. >> they know how to handle a
4:14 pm
rifle. >> whoa! looks like dominos. >> that doesn't even look like people. >> seriously, one false move? there is a bayonet on the end of that thing. >> now they're kneeling. that is insane. >> this goes on for a while and they make no mistakes. if they do, we can't see them. >> nothing's perfect. i can see a few errors but i don't want to be a debbie downer though on this piece. >> well, you guys look for all the errors, i'm just going to appreciate how remarkable and amazing this performance is. once this routine gets to the person at the end, that person basically starts the next move. what if that person forgets what's next? >> i wonder if these guys are any good in actual combat. you think this skill carries over? or is it all like a dance-off? >> athletes sometimes credit dancing to their ability on the
4:15 pm
et y . another skill y'all don't have. >> no, not really.'m picturing standing there 24/7. >> haters "right this minute." time for a little family sel self-portrait. >> picture it next "right this minute." a video that will show you, in case you are wondering, what might happen in case you forget to pull your emergency brake. >> oh! and moon walking on steroids. >> he saw his opportunity, he's like, i'm going to blow some minds today. >> this, steven saw his opportunity. nope, that's not
4:16 pm
4:17 pm
4:18 pm
the parking brake in your car kind of an important piece of equipment. not everybody uses it though. and in this video you'll see why it is there in the first place. look up ahead. you see this guy just sprinting down the road. >> oh, no, he didn't. >> there goes a car down the middle of the street. opposite way of traffic. guy on the right comes blitzing out. >> like a track star. >> yeah, he's moving. >> oh! >> one of the guys was able to jump in enough and just turn the wheel just in time before it smashed into that car coming head-on. >> that is crazy.
4:19 pm
you know what? this is dangerous, but it all had to be kind of fun. you know what i mean? to be the guy that got in the car, swerved out of the way, probably hit the brake with his hand. oh, man, that's awesome. >> this is really funny to see a bunch of guys just running through traffic after a car. >> also notice, too, the guy looks like in sort of an orange shirt -- he's doing the old fri flintstone braking maneuver. >> his shoes were probably all worn out by the end of this little run. it's monday and that means it is time to check in with the master of his internet domain. let's get to some real or fake videos. the first one, nerd levitates. it's not me. >> geez. holy cow. you're levitating. >> he has some sort of a harness or something that he's laying on.
4:20 pm
>> there's something under his shirt there. >> yeah. his back looks a little phony, too. this might be the michael jackson lean. i always wondering why he did that. >> from the smooth criminal video. >> that's real. >> of course. >> are you guys telling me that he's got a shirt on that's called a gravity shirt. there's some type of harness in his waist like you guys pointed out. so it is a fake. this next one, we're just going to call it leg cramp. i'm scared to watch it. >> what's going on? >> oh! now that's real. that's real. >> crazy. >> like aliens under the skin or something. >> how is it that this dude isn't running around the room in pain trying to get this thing out? >> they don't hurt though. >> it was painful to me. >> i have never had a leg cramp that didn't hurt. that's real. all right, last video -- massive sale.
4:21 pm
>> oh, no! holy moly. >> i think that's totally possible. >> it is obviously a construction site. you can tell they are building something there so there would be a reason for that to be there. but why is the bus there? >> people do film their skateboard stunts all the time. you can see why the guys would be shooting this. i say real. >> yeah. >> i'm going to go against you guys on this one. usually skateboarding, that's usually a low angle that follows the rider. this one's like constantly framing that bus in the background. >> see, now you're blowing my mind here, mac. >> but he does stop in his tracks though. watch his head come up. >> i'm sticking with real. >> i'm going to say fake. but if it is a fake, it is a damn good one. >> if he didn't have that hat on, maybe we would agree with you. >> hey,t's taken some getting used to f everyone.
4:22 pm
>> good as always, mac. we'll see you next week. what's about to happen here? >> a guy is going to jump out of a fifth story window. >> he he's no stunt man. see what happens when he steps off the ledge.

funnier. bad news, guys. this is a scary one. from russia. the guy here's on the fifth
4:26 pm
floor of this building and he is going to jump. you guys aren't at least concerned about this guy? >> well, usually when you say things like that, i probably should be concerned. >> a guy is going to jump out of a fifth story window. >> but i feel like he's going to jump into a net or a pool or -- >> a big pile of cardboard boxes. that's what this guy is about to do. stunt guys use this set-up. i don't know if this guy is a stunt guy. >> you don't know that now. >> right? look at dude on fourth floor just watching him out the window. >> yeah. >> boy, he almost missed them. >> oh! he like did a flip, landed on his back, slid right off the top of the boxes, landed right on his feet. he made that look so easy. >> two feet more and he would have been right on that sidewalk. >> wait. look at him. he's wearing a back brace or something on his back. >> i think it is just a yellow hoodie. >> he's got elbow pads on. >> he's got elbow pads.
4:27 pm
>> that wouldn't have saved his head from slamming against the pavement. >> i think a helmet would be better than the elbow pads. >> well, that was a good video. i am about to show you some extreme moon walking. >> yeah. he's doing it. >> he's doing it, all right. >> from far away it looks like he's doing nothing at all. >> you're wondering what's he doing? what's going on? >> he looks like he's speed skating backwards. >> or cross-country skiing backwards. >> how does he do this? >> i have no idea. i'm looking at the mechanics of what he's doing and none of it makes sense. this guy goes by the name one love candy man on youtube. in one of those videos, he says is he a profession a stunt man. >> after a little bit of a rain, he saw his opportunity, said
4:28 pm
"i'm going to blow some minds today." i think you should try it. right over there. let's see it. right over there. >> that was so embarrassing. >> that was really good. >> how about that? >> it looks like you're gliding. >> it looks perfect! that's it for this edition of "right this minute." we'll see you next time, everybody.
