80s, that's comfortable, the one spot touching 90 and storms rumbling from richmond south, that's where that cool air boundary is, so it's pushed all the way south in virginia and the storms just out of that air. we're back into the mid- to upper 80s, a slight chance of showers, we'll talk about that, look to the rest of the week coming up. he actually became the focus nearly every single day for more than a week. maryland health officials say 18 people have died because of heat related illnesses, 8 deaths were reported saturday through monday, two out of state residents who died in heartford and a totally of 34 people died last year in maryland of heat related causes. bg officials restored power from the big storm more than a week ago but last night's storm has a few people without power, the majority were in creightonsville, and we checked

the bg's web site where a total of 1800 people were still without power this evening. we're getting any details into that triple drowning that we first told you about last night at 11:00, we're going to show a picture of two of the victims, 12-year-old vladimir petron jacotin and christopher toto gabriel, and they had been playing in the creek. don harrison traveled today to speak with family members. >> reporter: family and neighbors gather in federalsburg, a small town on the eastern shore to try and make sense of three young boys losing their lives in the creek that runs through the town over the weekend. saturday night the parenters of the boys, 12-year-old vladimir petron jacotin and his 11-year- old cousin christopher gabriel and their 6-year-old friend yamoude dona came home and could not find the boys, the

boys were found dead on the banks of the creek sunday morning. this is where the boys were last seen in this church parking lot playing basketball. they were found in the creek about a hundred yards from here. >> i saw all them three boys and then the blood was coming out. >> pastor lieu wee had to identify the children yesterday because the families were too upset. this town has a small but close haitian community and they all feel the pain of the families. >> imagine that you have your son yesterday play basketball and today and they say he die. >> reporter: the 5th grade teacher for christopher and knew all the boys, it was understood in the community that the boys did not know how swim. she thinks this is a perfect situation to change that. >> this community needs an answer for 90% of the children that can't swim in this community, that's what, if we

can do anything to fix this, that's what our community needs to do. >> reporter: in federalsburg, don harrison abc 2 news. now, we just received information about the funeral anxiousments for the three boys, the viewing will be held saturday from 6 until 8:00 p.m. and the funeral is set for 3:00 p.m. sunday at atlanta road alliance church in seaford delaware, donations can be sent to the funeral home. victims of a fire that drove them from their apartment building in howard county returned to the condemned structure today but most lost everything they owned. alarm sounded just before 6 in the morning as the fire spread at laurel's country meadow's apartment, victims ran from unit to unit ensuring families with small children and seniors to get out as the guesting winds fueled the spread of the flames. >> i saw it.

it was blowing toward our apartment. and the fire department stopped from the top, they stopped. that was it. everything else was burned. and what a loss, we're told the fire caused about $700,000 worth of damage and most of the victims have no insurance, firefighters were treated and released for an ankle strain and also for heat exhaustion. i want to show new video we captured today after a fire killed a women on newport aver in the bay community. it took about 50 firefighters to get the two alarm fire under control. authorities do not know what caused the fire. it caused about $200,000 in damages and actually this is the second fire within just one

renegade shower in maryland, that is now cleared out of southern wooster county, in baltimore, temperatures running in the mid-80s, humidity around 40%, moderate, not bad, some of the weather through the day, we captured from summit ridge, a mix of sun and clouds but really a lot of clear sky later in the day, in ocean city there was rain here but one of the coolest spots in the state, never out of the 70s today and how about a spot with sunshine and temps in the 70s, out here toward the impart county way, through deep creek lake it was refreshingly cool today. temperatures in the mid-70s at the beach and in the mountain, winds are actually variable but have been generally through the east all day and that has been a cooler atlantic breeze, humidity more moderate, not as intense as over the weekend. here's that bound restricts you can see the storms flaring right around it and the
